@@nothotdog1488if that's true you have no doubt noticed a rather large portion of the player base does and is in a constant arms race to find new ones. Are you going to tell me that you never ever EVER superstacked when that was a thing?
@@jeffkilgore2693 yes I'm going to say I never stacked walls or doors, getting raided and restarting has always been one of my favourite parts of rust. I see where you are coming from, but just because some players exploit, doesn't mean we all do. I'm no longer a rust main, I found a game which has a way higher skill requirement. If you can't enjoy a game because of the way others choose to play it, you probably are right in taking a 2 year break. Rust for me has always been about PvP, come ups and meeting cool people.
I gotta say, this was really nice to watch. The sections between talking are super relaxing, which makes it really easy to follow every part of the build.
Here’s a tip for everyone, if your doing the largest version use the top floor as a heli storage add garage doors and triangles hanging out it’s very helpful in my opinion
Love the minimalist style of your videos. Putting in a short base tour at the beggining to get the viewers attention would help viewer retention, and would help them understand quickly if they would like to build it or not. Putting in the build cost and necessary raid materials would also attract more viewers. Source: clan base builder for like 5 years that has watched too many youtube bases
The video is made that you can skip through it and not even watch the whole thing, literally all my videos are like this, all you have to do is look at the description and all the information is there.
I smiled when you said the bare minimum for the trio metal base would be 40 rockets. We need more builders to only push for the best instead of making half assed base designs that are weaker than a honeycombed 2x2. Never settle for anything less than the best.
It’s definitely nice but it’s only achievable because of the bus stop, otherwise you won’t achieve anything near that with a regular base unfortunately !
Sure there are, there are plenty of base building exploits that'll allow you to reach 40 rockets to TC without having a massive base. You just have to figure out what those are :)
Some people might not know but if you want to know the ammount it takes to raid with c4 instead of rockets just divide it by 2 and that is it 2:28 40 rockets/ 20 c4
You don't need those dropboxes to transfer loot to the bunker and back. Just let one of the large boxes stick throught the back side and use it instead. Anyway good job bro.
You can! I should have mentioned it. The vertical placement of the dropboxes makes it a lot easier to place the workbenches on each side afterwards. Not only that but dropboxes are much more durable than boxes. I felt like if someone raided the back side and breaks your boxes it may screw you over. Mind you the same could happen with the dropboxes. Good catch!
Great video, you could improve it though by speeding through the repetitive bits a bit more (which you started doing more towards the end). Otherwise, sick build and going to try tonight!
Why fool with drop boxes? You can clip regular boxes through the window just like the workbench. I place my bench parallel to the window with the two small boxes under it clipping through the window, much faster passing loot in and out.
Yeah it’s true that you can clip regular boxes, I like the dropboxes because they’re harder to break, and take up up less room. It’s true they can be a bit of a pain to place. I did omit mentioning being able to place boxes instead and I feel stupid for doing so haha
U can actually place those 2 triangles where the TC is without having any gaps on sides :), just takes a bit of practice. Edit: My design uses the same 2 triangle blueprint inside the bus stop, most efficient way to build a bus stop 100%.
@@CruxalTV Nah it took me 5 min of practice to place those 2 triangles without gaps fully freehanded ( without any line ups ) Edit: I am all about that upkeep effience, so i hate the idea of mitigating the gaps with more building blocks :D, imo just take some time and practice how to place the core triangles correctly.
Legal I 100% agree, I thought it was worth showing for others who may have built it without noticing gaps. This base is all bout low upkeep and build cost, so the less you have to fix stuff, the better.
So I've tried watching this 3-4 times, fallen asleep all times. Not a comment on your content (Nice build/how to) it's the binaural track you use in the background.
You don’t want them sticking out so they dont get destroyed by people who raid through doors. There’s many things you can do, if making boxes stick through and putting locks on em is good for you, go for it.
It was never viable until they made windows unsplashable last month. If anyone made anything similar to this before that patch, it was worthless. Idk if he did, and I don’t care.

Haven’t been raided once. However I improved the outside walls a little more made the base 3x bigger and surrounded interior with flame, and turrets. Costs about 4x his details but that’s fine
Really, this design is not for me, it takes too much time to transfer the loot into the actual vault and there is not that much other than that and just that reason makes the bus stop have no point but I do think it would be great if you just had it as a vault that you could drop stuff at/ secondary base
Cruxal well if you are a solo or just play alone at a time the you would have to wait for the bag timer everything you transfer something to the main loot
Yepppp, i think it’s still worth it, if you play on a server that wipes last longer than a week, you’ll spend time transferring stuff, in turn you won’t lost weeks worth of play time. I feel the pain though!
Cruxal it’s kinda like having a cave base, I’d use this for the main and hard to raid base but I would have another base as my main operation base because of having easy access to dropping and taking loot fast
