This man's about to build the world's tallest building. It's one story, and a mile of basement: the same mile, deeper than the earth is wide. People thought he was weird for wanting to build the building that's been there as long as anyone can remeber.
I only recently got into lemon demon but as ive listened to more of spirit phone i honestly dont think i can say i dislike a single track on the album. To me this one is one of those hidden gems that i didnt really give much attention to at first but now that ive listened to it a little more ive realized that its an amazing song
The fact that for me 'Ancient Aliens' is the lowest on the totem pole, but still ranks in the top 20% of all songs I know... it says a _lot_ about the depth-of-concept and the strength of this album.
Small touch i noticed that may, or may not, be intentional: after the line “I have the strangest dreams”, all the distorted, weirdcore clips depict empty buildings and structures, which is exactly what the song is about.
I live in what I'd describe as a suburban area. Going to a big city recently, I really feel this song a lot deeper than I did before. Witnessing skyscrapers firsthand is a very interesting feeling.
This is criminally underrated! I love the visuals so much, it perfectly fits my aesthetic. It's crazy how I only found this by scrolling through pages of search results.
If you were interested the song is about someone who is being controlled by something like (or just is) Cthulhu, there are references to strange dreams, it towering over all and the moon. He also talks about having two personalities one who wants to build this thing and the other sees the blueprints the first draws as just a rectangle, judging from the context of the rest of the album it isn't a metaphor.
I find it to be a great metaphor of what ot feels like to have ADHD, specifically experiencing hyperfixations and trying to be creative. References to a "Man-made Object" imply a want to create something, but not being able to think of or follow through on anything specific. That isn't to discredit your interpretation, it's just what I relate to when hearing the lyrics.
he actually did a comentary about the whole album, saying something that his inspiration for this song was seeing some weird hypothetical buildings like big pyramids
@@velka3874 fuck I have a touch of the good ol' tism' and now I hear man-made object vocalizations in my head every single time I get an unwanted/wanted hyperfixation. I love it
I didnt care for this song much at first. And then i paid attention to it. Now i can't stop thinking about it and i constantly hear the "ah-ah-Ah-ah-uh-ah" all day
these music videos need WAY more attention??? how on earth do you nail the feeling of the song in every one. it makes me feel the same way the songs do except doubled. i love it!!!
i fuckin LOVE how you edit in corruption effects to match the tone of any particular part of the music, it flows with the energy so well also i have realized i'm a fool for not contemplating this song extra-dimensionally

same, this slowly became one of my favs on the album
the only song i would consider ''bad'' is reagan-omics

Me during the beginning: Meh. I dunno about this.
Me after "I have the strangest dreams" hits: YES. YES YES YES. I LOVE THIS!
Man made object is the prequel to the machine, just by the guy who built it’s perspective

I wonder if you mean (eldritch geometry) (hell yeah this is sick) or (eldritch geometry hell) (yeah this is sick)

I love how unique each of your lyric videos are. Each one fits the individual song better than anything else I've seen. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much!

Steel-and-concrete canyons of intersectionality.
By far one of the most underrated lemon demon songs in my opinion

Building god because the moon told you to, the song, has never looked so good!
That is a way to interpret the song that ive never heard before! Neat!
It's that Nebuchadnezzar dream all over again...
Yet to see a decent vid for touch tone telephone, try that one next!
I was actually thinking about doing that one next! Sadly with work and school im not sure when that will be :(
@@Imagiinae ah no worries, take your time. Spiral of Ants and Aurora Borealis are also valid options.
