I would also suggest get an electric air duster if you don't already have some way of blowing out the dirt in the rc. It speeds up the cleaning process a lot.
I have a rechargeable air duster and it works pretty good. I have found what works well is a spray of lemon furniture polish then air duster to blow off the dirt.
