    Thank you for your presentation of fountain pens that represent Italian craftsmanship, without costing a fortune. This is unlike anything I have seen on RUclips or anywhere else.

    Very nice, informative review, revealing a few pens I've never seen. Especially liked the ivory one, the Gioia.

    Beautiful. I have two Italian pens, Visconti Rembrandt circa 202 with 14 k gold mediums nibs, and my newest purchase a Leonardo MZG Mosaico Hawaii with a medium and elastic nibs. Would be nice to add a few more. Look forward to upcoming videos.

    I agree, I have never seen this kind of video done before. Its hard to find quality affordable pens. Especially if like me I am in Canada, and grew up right next to little Italy off Danforth Ave. in Toronto. My parents emigrated from Greece at age 16 and 17. Greek was my first language and I was educated so I can speak read and write fluently in Greek as well. If there was a fountain pen with a Greek flag, I would buy it too! LOL

    Thanks for the enthusiasm you bring to your hobby! For myself I’ve not been too fond of either the broad or the 1.1 stub nibs which I have (Diplomat, and Jowo respectively), but that’s what makes the world go round.
    Regarding Italian brands, I’ve just ordered my first, a DELTA Anni 70, won via an eBay auction. It is used, and I know a discontinued model, though I haven’t been able to learn whether it was from before the original Delta closed, or since they were brought back more recently (I’m guessing the latter since there’s a page devoted to it on Yafa Brand’s website pen archive. But I am very much looking forward to getting it, and to start investigating Italian pens as budget allows going forward!

    Excellent review. I'd go for Visconti Mythos Apollo, Zeus, Aphrodite or Athena. These nibs made by SCHMIDT are the best nibs of Visconti.

    • @fountainpentherapy
      @fountainpentherapy  10 месяцев назад

      Couldn't agree more! The schmidt nibs are one of my discoveries for 2023. I now own a few pens with these nibs and I just ordered 3 more which will be reviewed shortly. I now have tested fine, medium and broad and they are all really good writers.

      not only a genius but one of the best people one will ever encounter. I am honored to call him friend and to be 1 of his friends.I have more friends from Delta, Maiora, and Nettuno than any other single company.The only pen company that comes close inb quality and design is Pilot, based on my experience.Some may have a single pen or even a few wonderful pens, but noine can match Nino's designs and executions.@@fountainpentherapy

    I feel that Santini today offers the best priced Italian (or any other) fountain pen in the market today. For the variety of models, materials, design aesthetics, 14k/18k gold nibs, piston filling, all made exclusively in-house I can’t think of an Italian pen that offers more value on price.

      Thanks for sharing! I am in love with Gioia and Mairoa pens.

    • @sajjadhusain4146
      @sajjadhusain4146 9 месяцев назад

      @@fountainpentherapy Cool. I must get one of each from Goia and Maiora. Especially Goia. As of now, my most loved Italian pens are from Aurora, Montegrappa, Stipula and OMAS. And recently, Scribo and Santini, too.

    • @fountainpentherapy
      @fountainpentherapy  9 месяцев назад

      All great pen makers except Montegrappa in my view is overrated. A little like Montblanc. Maybe its because I can't afford them. LOL

    • @sajjadhusain4146
      @sajjadhusain4146 9 месяцев назад

      @@fountainpentherapy I love Montegrappa dearly. I have seven of their pens. I only wish Montegrappa made their own steel and gold nibs in-house like some other brands do.
      And I don’t think pens by all major brands are over-rated, but certainly very often very over-priced.

    I love my Italian pens! My favorite brand would probably be the Leonardo. I have so many of those …. I have a Visconti (a Bronze Age, so doesn’t quite fit in with this batch of pens) A Maiora …. I have a Delta on my wish list!

    Great review, Vincenzo. Based on other reviews, I bought that #10, Visconti Apollo, as you have, in my collection. It is my most expensive pen and my #1. I spent some time , visiting Italy, while in the US Air Force . Had a custom made racing bike made, and the food, the women, the design of Italian made products are beautiful. I must shop for that #9 choice. Thanks. KB.

    I loved this review!! My best pen is a Tibaldi Bonogna LE. Divine piston filler pen with 18kt. broad nib that has a stamp or engraving of Jesus Christ on the cross. It writes like butter, Pilot has nothing on this

    I so enjoyed this video. When I first started my fountain pen journey, I didn't think I would ever spend the money for a Leonardo. Now I have four. Even though the basic design doesn't change, it's their use of so many exciting resins that catches my attention, and you know what you're getting, with a Leonardo.

    • @fountainpentherapy

    Fabulous selection of pens. I have one Nettuno in my collection. It was a special edition honoring a great pen shop in New York, Fountain Pen Hospital. Only 75 were made.
    I love Leonardo Momento Zero Grande pens. Mine is in a resin called Sand. Stilo e Stile is my favorite shop in Italy and they have a great selection of Leonardo pens.
    I haven't gotten any of the new Delta pens. I do have a number of ballpoints but no fountain pens. I have to look for a model.
    My Visconti collection stopped when Dante left the company. I did have the Mirage but the nibs were horrible and returned it. I tried swapping the nib twice with the same result. It is a shame.
