The 92 seems to be overshadowed by the 74. The nib on the 74 and 92 is just amazing, particularly for the price. I love the Con-70 (a lot of people don’t). I am waiting for my GPC exclusive Benu Euphoria Earl Grey. I have always wanted a Benu but I wanted one that speaks to me. It’s taken many years but Earl Grey is me and even though I don’t have the money, I pulled the trigger (glad too because it’s sold out now).

Thank you for sharing this enjoyable line-up of pens! In 2024 I'm enjoying my maroon Pilot E95S , my Sailor Lecoule , and my Jinhao 51a . I also pulled out and reinked a couple of TWSBI Go pens, and , and once again I'm surprised at how smooth the nibs are and how comfortable they are in my hand. Fountain pens are such a delight! Thanks for spreading the love through your videos!

Lovely inked pens. I just started collecting fountain pens early 2023 for work and journaling. I tend to lean more towards flex/semi-flex/ bouncy nibs.
Currently my rotation inked pens for Jan 2024 are:
    1) Pineider Avatar UR Deluxe EF Riace Bronze with Nagasawa Kobe ink No. 59 Hirano Gion Romance Gray
    2) Vintage 1965 Pelikan 400nn fine with Taccia Sabimidori
    3) Pilot 823 Amber medium with Iroshizuku Tsukushi (thinking of getting Kobe Inks No 52 Shioya Vintage Sepia, lovely brown color)
    4) Pilot 743 FA with De Atramentis Document Ink Black
    5) Laban 325 Sun fine with Noodlers Apache Southwest Sunset
Definitely gotta slow down buying pens this year :D I got Pelikan M805 and Visconti Homo Sapiens as my wishlist this year. Oddly enough I love the way Pineider 14k quil nib writes, also the Pelikan 400nn bouncy and very juicy.

    Happy New Year c:
Great to see the pens your ringing in the new year with. I enjoyed your thoughts on the longer writing sessions. As myself someone that did nearly a whole degree (surprisingly with dyslexia/audhd, never thought I would ever make it), I never did any long exams, it was all essays and some creative works. Now in business post-grad business school long 2.5 hour exams are a thing. I was worried about the poor paper quality with a nice gold nib, so I opted for steel, ended up with a PENBBS 456 vac and it was fab.
I'm excited to see all the new videos you have coming this year c:
    Happy New Year

Im currently writing this month with an indiago bronze TWSBI eco "m", petrol Lamy Al-star "m", black Parker 45 classic "ef", and a peacock blue Jinhao 86 "ef". I may change out throughout the month but i think i will be happy with these 4. I journal with medium nibs but do most of my work writing with an extra fine nib and the old parker designs are perfect work horse pen designs!

The Esterbrook Raven with a stub nib is a very worthy look. The Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age with a 1.3 Stub nib is still my grail pen.

Yeah, the Raven is up there on my Wishlist for sure. Absolutely stunning pen! I’m am not a huge stub nib fan, but the Visconti HS Bronze is a masterpiece!

You’re on a roll, Mick, with a spate of lovely videos lately.
Thrilled to see your 845 show up frequently. It is a majestic pen. I love my PCH 92. Although they have the same small #5 Pilot 14k nib, I much prefer the flat ended, piston-filling 92 to the less pricey C74.
That’s why I bought the 92 and not the 74.
Your Cypress pen is very appealing. I wish I had one myself.
My currently inked (for the last two weeks, actually) are:
Sailor King of Pens Ebonite (21k M)
Stipula Etruria Rainbow Prisma (steel V-flex)
    Stipula Florentia (14k Stiflex stub)
    Kaweco Dia2 (Premium steel nib - B)
    Sheaffer PFM V (14k F)
    Platinum 3776 Celluloid Jade (14k B)

@@theoffstageme Thanks, bud! I’ve recently begun to keep no more than six pens inked at once. It used to be 10-12 in the past. Now, 5-6 inked feels ideal.

Currently enjoying my Pilot Custom Heritage 91 with a soft medium nib. Such a great nib! And to balance it, the Hongdian D5. Such a crazy looking pen, but really well done (unlike some Jinhaos).

For me my inked pens are:
    Wing Sung C4
    OPUS 88 OMAR
    Conklin 1898 Misto
    Hong Dian N10
    Pelikan M805
    I have in waiting:
    MaJohn A1
    Hong Dian C1
    Wing Sung 630
    penBBS 355
I am torn between the Custom 823 or the E95S. Opinion?

    • @DesignInNature
      @DesignInNature 7 месяцев назад +1

Oh, wow. The E95s is a great, smooth writer at a nice low price point for sure. But it is in no way comparable with the Pilot Custom 823. It is definitely a few categories below. The 823 was Pilot's Japanese response to the German Pelikan M800. And that says a lot about what an amazing pen is the 823.
It is by far the smoothest writing Japanese nib of any "stock" production pen made there in the under $500 category. I was in fact about to splurge on a Pelikan before coming across the Pilot 823. I am not sure I "need" a Pelikan anymore.
      I hope that helps.

@@DesignInNature thanks for your reply. I have the 743 which I enjoy a lot. It is the vacuum system that intrigues me. However, the E95S seems amazing and smart.
I have the M800 and appreciate it a lot. It is a wonderful pen.
