You thank after you get a thing. Thus when you are not thankful you are as someone who has not gotten what he wants, you are like a person who is lacking.
I thank god to get rid of my complaining mind.
I don't always thank god for something I got, I thank him most of the time to change my thinking from an unthankful, worried, laboring, trying to figure things out thought process and intent, to a peaceful one.
My physical body was aching from my unthankful thinking.

Priests and sola scriptura and creationism are burdensome, crosses. Should we take up our cross?
Your body resting doesn't give you back your health, for if your heart rested and stopped pumping (or being pumped. But that's a different story for another time), and your lungs stop expanding and contracting, and brain quit working, you would lose your health and die. Your soul resting makes you recover.
If you see all your plans as one, and not as different pieces, you'll be under less pressure to get them all done on time, for doing one would be doing them all.

I wonder what the psychology of the rocking chair is. You fix problems. Are you trying to fix your life, and think your life is your problem?

In school you solve problems. Is life a university, and you're working on the test, on rocks and arms and thoughts and money, and those things are tests? In school do they kill you off in the end?
Is life just a simple test, or is it a real complicated problem for you that you can't quite figure out and complete and finally finish and get done and over with once and for all, or is it gonna fix you and see's you as a problem, a question it's not puzzled about at all?
Is the system a problem you're going to fix and get rid of, or do you fix a problem and the problem is still around, or is a fixation on fixing the error?
You'll have problems in life without having to look for them. So going to look for more is wanting more problems in your life. Is wanting more problems in your life what a sane mind would do?
Don't miss out on life and allow it to pass you by. Adventure is not comfort.
Do you want adventure, or comfort. Will you cry in the end that you missed out on comfort, or on life?

No moaning and bitching is uncomfortable.
Contentment, receptiveness, and acceptance is not comfortable to you, moaning and fault finding is.
You prepare for the game before you play it, or for the vacation before you are on it, not after the game begins, or after the vacation starts. You're already in life. It's too late now to prepare for it. But you still have time to prepare for death though.
You can't do the simple task of naming me off the top of your head all the ways you can die. Since you can't do that, why would you think you can do the vastly more complicated deed of stopping death from coming for you tomorrow or getting you tonight?
Living a whole life trying to avoid the monster, death, chasing you, would be living in a horror movie that goes on decade after decade, and not living in a love story.

People ask you what you do for a living, and not much, if ever, do they ask you what you do for play, or, what you do for leisure. Seems a little obsessed with one thing.
Addicts work hard at chasing around their thing, chasing the stuff they're into, running after what it is they decide they want, desire, might like, and maybe will keep liking. They don't get too much down time, too much refreshing rest, a lot of recovery time, much leisure.
