It was a sunny day at Higashiyama Zoo.
The gorillas were outside relaxing.
When Annie drummed on Nene, Nene became angry with Annie.
Kiyomasa tried to stop the fight, but for some reason Shabani was chasing Kiyomasa.
Shabani is favoring Annie, isn't he?

@@SolaKnitez-bt8wy Annie will more than likely stay where she is. Nene is a problem & causes most of the problems. You are correct, the boy's should have been moved to a bachelor troop years ago. Japan can't import or export gorilla's. They have been careless by having one brother Shabani & Haoko at opposite ends of the country, Haoko has 2 girls that should be having there own troops by now. Kiyo has already been challenging Shabani & it wasn't pretty. ✌️

Annie and Shabani have such an interesting relationship. They often keep some distance between each other, especially Annie, except when she sometimes randomly taps him as she passes to be silly. But she is always on his side during fights and never involves herself. She is his biggest supporter. Their relationship is lovely.

I love how much Annie gestures with her hands and her facial expressions..it seems like it’s the most human-like…almost like she’s saying “hey come here!” or “get outta here!”

Shabani often lets Annie and nene solve their quick disputes because he knows it never causes actual drama and Annie is just showing off. But it’s interesting that he went after kiyo because he knows that if another male gets involved with the girls, then that’s not fair and potentially dangerous.
I know that Shabani loves his very beautiful princess because he had the biggest part and raising her.. (and that’s why he’s the perfect Silverback in my opinion ❤❤❤) but with that being said in gorilla politics, there’s a lot of rules and now that Kiyomasa is becoming a silverback himself, he’s the lowest on the totem pole, i’m not saying that Shabani doesn’t love him. I’m just saying that if they was in the wild Kiyomasa would’ve done been gone.
Kiyo isn't lowest. He's 2nd. Gorilla troops always have the strongest males at the top. Perfect example is Gentaro being the 2nd to eat in the Momo group. Lowest in this troop is the weakest which is Nene. It's why everyone takes her food. Shabani siding with Annie doesn't move Kiyo down the line.
@@lizzyyork in the documentaries that I have seen, they said when the young black back is turning into a silverback is usually the lowest on the totem pole. Because dad or the silverback knows that he will eventually try to take over his troop. And then that same documentary that’s where it said usually by the time that a silverback is 33/34 years old, the female start pushing him out for a younger stronger silverback to protect them and their babies. I’m just going by what that documentary said and there’s more than one of them out there.
@@ZombieQueen819makes.sense, but you have to wonder if being in captivity changes things up. I think because Nene is the oldest some think she's lowest in the group. Isn't she the alpha female? (Or was)

No. Nene is the mother to Ai and Kiyomasa. Ai was her daughter from a different silverback. Kiyomasa is Nene and Shabani’s son. Ai and Shabani mated and produced Annie. Ai rejected Annie, so the caretakers and Shabani raised her. Does that help?

Ai is nene's daughter. The silverback has mating privileges in the gorilla troop and he mates with all the females
