    Zubin Mehta's interpretation of Mahler 5 has always been my favorite.

    This was my first Mahler, going for the Adagietto - Hooked ever since, have multiple versions of all his work. Been twice to Grinzig

    I've listened several versions of this work (Kubelik, Boulez, Karajan, Solti)... and this is the only one in which the 2nd movement really sounds like "Stürmisch bewegt".

    I've also listened to Bernstein, von Karajan, Cebilidache, Abbado...but Metha's version is really amazing!!! Monumental!!!

      Celibidache never conducted Mahler, but your point is taken.
