You're in my backyard! I was there last 5th of July. Might be me you passed around Cape Horn, when you looked back and said, "nice anchorage!" (10:34) The boat anchored there belongs to a friend. I'm very likely aboard the outbound boat that passed you! :D

Having it "all to yourself" (like you said at the end) is definitely one of the most jaw-dropping things about South Puget Sound. Besides Squaxin and Hope Islands, there are MILES of undeveloped shoreline all around Harstine, and all up and down all of the inlets! There are hidden bays and low tide islands and swimming holes and gorgeous beaches EVERYWHERE. It's truly a sailor's wonderland.

Nice video, it's great when you find an unexpected mooring then have it all to yourself.

When we had our Capri 26, its shoal-draft wing keel gave us just a 42" draft and proved a real benefit for inshore sailing and snagging transient slips other sailboats couldn't make. We also had the benefit of Great Lakes tide-less waters. This video sure makes me miss that boat.

Yes, hugely underestimated benefit of shallow draft boats, especially in this crowded day and age. This boat is 4'3" so it's enough that I have to pay attention to the charts.
