I can't believe you guys put this out on RUclips. It is incredibly valuable. It shows that you folks over there are more about the passion for shooting rather than the profit. I’ve just recently, started my concealed weapons. I’m retired disabled nurse. The placement of thumbs. I’ve heard one way of crossing over and then I’ve heard butted up to each other?? I’ve learned a hellva lot watching your videos. I wouldn’t be able to afford this but, thank you very much for releasing this to us!!

I like mixing dummy rounds with live rounds in a revolver to learn how to keep the sight picture. It's a good use for a revolver.

I’m a new shooter looking to train. Budget means I need the most for my money. Couple questions:
1) any training classes in central Florida you recommend
2) should I train extensively with dry fire before spending money on a class? Not sure if the class treats you like your brand new or are you suppose to be at some level of proficiency before hand.
P.s. I already know how to operate, basics parts and functions, and keep the finger off the trigger…lol
Dryfire is done once you understand what you are training. As for budget, who doesn't want the most for their money?
Cost is commensurate with value. Nothing valuable is cheap.
Though I agree with OP that dry-fire is done after you know what you’re training, that shouldn’t prohibit you from dry-firing with some basic idea of what you are doing.
Pick a lightswitch in your house. Make sure your firearm is clear (with ammo nowhere near it). A good basic dry-fire drill is to master a consistent trigger press without disruption of the sights. A lot of people get all hopped up on grip, stance, breathing, etc. those “fundamentals” all have their place, but a good shooter can breathe through a full magazine, standing on one foot while singing a song and still make accurate, well-placed shots. If you can master trigger press without disruption of your sights, you’re more than 50% of the way to being a decent shooter.
I’m not trying to tell you to train in bad habits, but your interaction with the trigger is the most important “fundamental” of them all. All others are subjective, and some practices are more efficient than others.
@@CarryTrainer thank you for the quick answer. I did mean budget = value and not cheap. Your videos show your classes are more than valuable, especially 3 day classes (except I only own a pistol). I was more worried about picking a class were I’m trained in a “habit/way of shooting” that so many “proficient” shooters on RUclips use as examples of “garbage or actually hurting the learning curve.” Keep up the awesome content I love watching.

Hey Mick, I'm planning on participating in your Pistol Tune-Up course in Homestead FL this November. I carry Appendix 80% of the time, is it advisable to wear my Appendix rig or should I use my OWB holster for the class?

He emphasizes to train how you fight, so in other words yes it's okay to go to the class with your appendix rig. I personally done so when I attended his pistol class 3 years ago
