Those of us who are India die hards, keep returning to India in spite of the noise, pollution, over crowding, theft, bad food (Delhi belly) bad rooms and various rips offs because after all is said and done we come back from India with priceless experiences which cannot be found anywhere else. India has made me what I am today and anyone who has not been there cannot top it.
google cannot telll you about india.. one needs many lifetimes to understand this land.. but with a little help things can be made easier but for sure google will be the worst place to start with
THEN shouldnt you know.. strangers in india give you better advice than google or registered travel guides?? and as an Indian it is my dharma that if someone comes to my land i should offer my help advice and experiences so that the other person can have a more pleasant stay .. i am an indian and a hindu.. guest is god for us.. if i know someone is coming to visit my motherland and i do not offer help that is a sin for me.. i dont know how things are for you out there..but for us this is the way... google can tell you most visited places but that never can be enough to know what india is.. for you too i would say if you come to india again.. just leave a message.. will be happy to help you and if any query probably answer it.. Its strange to hear someone offering help sounds creepy
how can i rape on the internet??? there are two ways ..trust or dont trust... if i look like a rapist to you..feel free to avoid... there are other ways too.. your view is clearly biased and based on what you probably see on the media.. you may have visited india but i doubt you managed to understand it.
The world is glorious and full of wisdom for those who travel. My family traveled when I was growing up and I've done as much as I can as an adult. I do have to say there are many places right in the US that are depressed and sad, jostled and startling. Seeing it here and knowing it's everywhere is the first step towards stepping out of our comfort zones and learning from our world.
Great video. Some people can't seem to understand the difference between a vacation/holiday for relaxation and travel for travelling a sake for new experiences. Travel changes you for the better, sitting on a beach all day does not
I've been to Varanasi. Yes there are animals, crowds, noise, dirt, and poverty but there is also something so magical and mesmerizing about that anciet city. This sense of wonder about the world and life is something you would be hard pressed to find on a beach or at a posh resort. This isn't just a vacation, its an adventure. Kudos to you Christine. There is so much to discover outside of one's comfort zone.
Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. I will never in a million years go to India so I appreciate your experiences and bravery. Safe travels!
I love, love, love your videos!! Europe is more my style but I adore traveling with you from the peace and quiet of my house! You and Michael seem like super cool people!
I would have SUCH a headache from all the noise.....glad you thought of earplugs! How very neat though to be learning about different cultures. Stay well and safe! Thanks for sharing with all of us!
I can't tell you how appreciatve I am of you sharing all these videos of your travels!! I feel like I got to go on the trip with you guys and that is amazing!! Again, safe travels!!
Your videos are awesome! I m more scared in the areas you guys travel when I go back to travel!! U guys are brave , plus it's a new prospective on India! Love you both!
I was thinking the same. I love traveling and visiting new places, but I know I get too overwhelmed to enjoy myself in noisy and crowded places. So, it's nice that I get to see India with them, from the comfort and quiet of my home. :D
Wow, that place would of gave me anxiety, I am so glad you are ok. When do you come back to the states? Can wait to see some new makeup tutorials and hear more about your experiences over seas. Praying for safe travels.
I hope you spent time on the river. Varanasi is more spiritual than a place for shopping (I avoided the hectic streets). Varanasi can be challenging, but is one of the most memorable destinations. (Search: 50Fotos Varanasi)
Would love a vlog talking about some of the encounters and experiences you've had thus far! What does it smell like, how is the food, what other sensory insights can you give us? It is amazing that you are doing this for us all, we greatly appreciate it!
I love your videos Christine, I really appreciate that you take the time to think of the viewers and share your experiences, good or bad. There's a lot of things I'd never see if it was not for your vlogs. I know you didn't go to Asia to relax but to experience new cultures and places. I hope you are safe, Unfortunately, the media has recently shared horror stories of group rapping in public transports in India, so I really hope you are safe and have Michael really close to you at all times
im going to be so sad when you return home! i love watching your videos on Asia. there is just something about how you film them that i love. BUT i am excited for your future beauty videos. stay safe on your travels :)
Still taking the journey with you guys -- one video at a time!! You look well - I wonder if you are missing Hawaii! You'll know just how much when you set your foot on the ground there - or your lips! As in Kiss! Great video and all of them are just absolutely fabulous! TFS
i loved everything about varanasi, even the noise. you guys look relaxed and healthy. i really think you should just travel the world and sell your films to travel channel. i think it is professional, top quality. thank you so much for showing us :)
Right....just read your account - I thought about switching from Alka to Ganpati but never did. Here 6 years later I remember every detail of my five days in Varanasi as if it were yester. EVERYTHING happen at Varanasi. 24/7 - unbelievable place - a 'must see' destination, folks....indeed, me profile pic, is me (from Alka's balcony) gazing out on the Ganges.....:-)
WOW guys that was some experience...probably enjoyed only in hindsight. Michael looks a little anxious on this trip...Christine you just seem as cool as always...oh apart from the groping!! :-( Stay safe xx
Pretty jewellery and so neat a coal steamer! The things that I don't know outside of a first world country. Be careful, stay safe and enjoy! :) As always enjoying your travel videos.

Thank You both so much! Your videos invite those willing to mentally globe trek this part of the World! Viewing close-up [ Michael & Christine's unplugged Travel ] Have every confidence in your taking the Road less traveled! Aloha!
I love the way you represented India...I know its not like america especially the groping part..still you respected..Seriously anyone (girls) if visiting the states adjacent to New delhi and Bihar please take care of your body very carefully...eve teasing is a very common thing..apart from their extreme north and south states are quite safe people are better...It is not that bad country being the oldest country to cradle proper civilisation..:)
Ankita Das the probability of getting mugged or raped is higher in new york paris or barcelona in night than in varanasi. I am from U. P and women actually roam here on their scooties till 10 pm in the night. After that no one gets out of their homes and no one else gives a fuck about them.
Some people need to understand that a vacation doesn't always mean luxury but can mean a new adventure/experience. Not many people get the opportunity to go out and actually experience life in these places beyond their five star resort.
Great video. Hopefully that wasn't a dead body floating in the waterway. And it's not fun getting groaped but LOL at your comment about "Locked up abroad". I laughed.
I have said this before but I truly do love michael and your videos. It's just amazing to see you guys there and the different culture. I was wondering where you and Michael are going to go after India and how long are you guys traveling for?! I really look forward to seeing your next video! (:
I get so excited everytime you post a new video. Its so interesting to watch your travels but I admit its so not for me.I get panicky with the crowds at Disney World. Seeing the way they drive would give me heart failure.lol
