  • Lake Toho Bass fishing techniques for 2024. At the time of filming this video, in February 2024, Lake Toho has more grass, weeds, aquatic vegetation, or whatever you want to call it than it has had in the 25 plus years I've been fishing it. Too much hydrilla and way too much pepper grass. However, the fish still gotta eat. Check out the few techniques we used to locate and catch these stubborn Florida Largemouth.
Aside from one topwater bite, the majority of the fish we caught were on the Pippin8'r trick worm and Wobbler swim bait from CPF Lures.
    Thanks for watching,

Appreciate the video Chuck. What water temp are you looking for in FL to start throwing topwater?

You never really know. It’s usually best for me after few weeks after the spawn… once the weather stabilizes and the bass fry are schooled up… then into the Shad spawn.
Late April through early June is my favorite.

Seeing more and more Ikon's around. Finally got an up close look at one in Toledo Bend last week. I think it was Hunter Shryock maybe? First thought was damn look at the front deck on that thing, especially at the bow. What do you like most about it?

The front deck is definitely one of my favorite aspects. The ride & stability and overall build quality also rank pretty high on my list of favorites.
