A woman comes to Krishnadevaraya's court and tries to deceive everyone by saying that she has a magical sari which is invisible. However, Tenali senses his trick and decides to use his trick against her. He pretends to be an imaginary coin and succeeds in persuading the woman to confess his crime.

The show traces the journey of a 20-year-old boy, Tenali Rama who dreams of becoming rich and famous but is too lazy to pursue his dreams. When Tenali gets forced into marriage and is compelled to earn a living, a revered saint asks him to go to the temple of the village and recite a specific mantra. Tenali does as he is told and Goddess Kali appears in front of Rama with a bowl of milk and bowl of curd asking him to pick one but Tenali ends up tasting both leaving Kali furious. Later, Tenali reasons out by explaining that what is the use of one without the other. Goddess Kali gets impressed by his wit and says he will become a Vaikatavi, a jesting poet in Krishnadevarayas court. Tenali Rama leaves for Hampi with a desire to become a part of Rayas court.
This popular series narrates the journey of Tenali who solves cases with his timely wit and intelligence due to which he becomes very popular in the Kings court.

tenali was real cheracter from vijayanagar empirre popularly known as hampi in karnataka
He was originally from Tenali, Andhra Pradesh but worked for Krishnadevaraya.
tenali is the name of his place. Ramakrishna was the given name.
Tenali is a town name in Andhra and he works for Sri Krishna deveraya. In olden days, both Kannada and Telugu regions were part of the Vijaya nagara empire.

Well in sri Krishna devaraya court there were many poets and each one of them were special in their own way. Tenali is called vikata kavi due to his humor. apart from him allasani peddana , Durjhati Kavi, Nandi Timmana, Pingali suranna and many other were there and they all were excellent poets.
I use to watch this show as a kid it's been so long.

Why everyone behaves like a joker. There is something called "Sabhamaryada". No wonder why these shows are not popular.
In process of making shows funny they lost the reality , people should know how these raja sabhas use to be in reality. More over Tenali rama krishna was a great poet, ot sure how much poetry is shown in these serials. apart from him allasani peddana , Durjhati Kavi, Nandi Timmana, Pingali suranna and many other were there and they all were excellent poets.
It would have been more clever to ask the queens to buy and wear those sarees and come in court or ask that deceitful woman to wear it first ! 😂

Seems like this episode is inspired from an Odia story written by Kalindi Charana Panigrahi. It's the third chapter of class 3 Odia language M. I. L book. Name of the lesson is "Rajanka Nutana Parichhchheda". They did little modifications. There was mantri instead of Acharya, the dress was for the king and not for queens, their were weavers, not any chinise lady. The weavers said that only intelligent people can see the clothes, instead of those who love their wives.

You can learn Hindi b4 watching Hindi Shows. I learned Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Gujrati & even little bit Bengali to watch the programs & befriend the natives. Same with French, German & Japanese, I am trying to learn them. Also Tulu & Tamil are next on my list. Btw My mother tongue is Marathi 😊

Chine cheenambaraalu literally exists as a telugu word, Tenali Ramakrishna isn't a fictional character, he lived in the era of vijayanagara dynasty and this is one of his stories. You never heard it doesn't mean it never exist. Back (literally till 20-40 years back depending on where you live) no one would sell you shirts and pants directly they used to sell the cloth and people buy as per their requirement and shape them as they want from a local tailor, even the under garments. And to lure the kings and other people in the power business people used to take special care and make clothes the kings wanted to wear.
And about the chinese girl speaking in Hindi originally Ramakrishna was a Telugu guy because they were making his story in hindi for hindi speaking people they made his character speak Hindi.
And being a Telugu (brahmin the same caste as him, clarifying so no one will be offended) guy I know Tenali Ramakrishna would have looked a little shorter, brown skin tone with a tummy but to make the show richer they opted for a fancy looking guy. They are making a show to make money so they have right to take the creative decission untill they don't spoil the soul of the original story.
People like you think everyone will see you as an intellectual only if you point out mistakes out of everything but in reality you look like a loser by doing this kind of nonsense.
