  • Here's a very unique homemade shallow water dive helmet, it's styled after John Wayne's helmet in the film "Reap The Wild Wind." This was a hand made helmet and marketed by Journeyman Master Diver Gary L. Harris, who produced many interesting shallow water helmets over the years under the name "Subaqueous Engineering." Each helmet is made from ship-grade corrosion resistant SMAW welded and coated steel.

What shorts/suit are you wearing? I'd love to get a pair!

What did you do for a compressor and umbilical?

We use anything from tank to compressor depending on what we're diving and the situation. For this short photo shoot we just used a tank
