Lessons learnt. Tanking does not Guarantee you a top Pick. Congrats to ATL they played to win the game and They were rewarded. Now that we don't have the top six Pick The Raps have more money to spend this offseason to bring in Nba Ready now player's. HOPEFULLY they decide to try to win as soon as next season.. Tor has a first round pick from Indy. 31st pick is like a late first as well. It sucks they couldn’t keep their pick. But, I think this is a good draft to have that happen if it was going to happen.
All the blame falls on Masai. Everybody knew they should have traded OG and Pascal the previous year to maximize 1st round draft picks. And they should not have traded away a 1st round pick (top 6 protected). It should have been top 10 protected.
Lessons to learn. Tanking doesn’t guarantee anything. Don’t depend on luck. Talent can be acquired not only in off season but also via trade in regular season. Take advantage of every opportunity to get better. Always choose a direction. The sooner the better 😅

Spurs got a top 10 pick and two SRPs (2023, 2025) for a role playing center who was going to be a UFA. Pacers got an all star and all NBA player who was going to be a UFA for 2 non Lottery draft picks and some bench fodder (Olynyk, Nwora, Brown, Ogbaji) ... wow. Pacers 2026 pick will most likely be in the 20s as well as their young core gets more experience.

Meh. The only lock I see in this draft is Sarr and you would need the 1st pick. The rest are projected borderline starters and role players. The 19th pick will probably net you someone who was projected in the top 10 at some point this year. The most crapshoot draft in a while. Granted it would've been nice to have more chips to play with.

Man this team and franchise have developed some extremely bad habits, tanking, losing hopeful for a draft pick, until that backfires and hits em right back in the face. Questionable trades, questionable leadership. We stuck in the mud for years to come 😢

Besides I think with good scouting Masai can find good player with the 19th or 31th pick… Other then Sarr & Rob Dillingham nobody in the top 10 is worth top 10 pick.
Again there are good players mid to late 1rd round and who knows there might be steal second round .., I think Dillion Jones unless he blows everyone will be available second round. He is going to be player in NBA with his skill set

It looks like the raptors are gonna be like the charlotte bobcats, Orlando magics, Chicago bulls Detroit pistons. I don’t know how they get better from here. And to think the 19th and 31st picks are gonna help us in the future. Then I don’t think guys are looking at who’s in this draft. It’s really bad. We don’t even have a demar derozen type or Lowry type of player. All these guys are not good at all
@@Gillz34 Where in the draft was Jokic drafted ? Where was Gianni’s drafted in weak 2013 draft and who went #1 ? You putting to much value on draft picks in weak draft year. Raptors have good managed & trio of young players .. they have their lottery pick next year and two 1rd 2026 .. So think they will be okay. It’s not the end of the world if they didn’t get top 5 in weak draft.
