I have 2 of the 8458 Silver Champion sets and an 8461 Williams F1 Team Racer. Both of these cars have the same type of suspension in them as this car. Enjoyed the watery scenery.
The ground clearance is too low to be fully suspended. 4:12 But that is okay. Since it is not an off-roader and the shape of the car is designed to go so fast. Imagine to a gear up the gear ratio and attach the motor so it would go at insane speed.
@@lilsloppynutsack1799 I bought it on the Lego website as soon as orders went live on March 1. They’ll restock soon I bet so just keep checking their official site.
Just wondering if you've ever built an RC car kit? The Technic sets are becoming as expensive as RC vehicle kits. The RC car kits offer so much performance over the technic sets and are more realistic, but I also enjoy the simplicity of the lego sets and building them is easy and enjoyable.
no one is buying lego as if it can be used as an rc car, its a lego kit for show. If you actually wanna drive something RC cars are the obvious solution, people take these too seriously like its literally plastic bricks, what do you expect
I think they are for different purpose, I like both. I like the fact that lego is easy to build with no tool required, no mess (shock oil, diff grease, lactate etc.) and it is easy to leave off at any moment and pickup right where you left off. Of course with RC, you get a much sturdier frame and actual speed. Both are cool. :)
180€ for a model that looks nice is still quite much. Despite that there are some inaccuracies: The wheels should be wider at the back than on the front, the cage over the seat does just look bad and it can't be a 2022 f1 car as the real one isn't revealed, the time when lego started design even mclaren might have not known how it will look. Till the reveal the technical information are top secret, so lego simply couldn't make a 2022 car (so it's not the designers fault). Considering that and the lack of technic functionality (suspension, engine and steering are not really technic-worthy functions) the price is even less reasonable. Although some of these problems wouldn't exist if lego wouldn't had the licence or just have led the 2022 thing out. These might be irrelevant for some people, but f1 fans who meant to be the main customers for this set will notice since not younger people nor true technic fans will be intended customers
6:39 On the front splitter on the left side from this camera angle, I think you are missing a small system 1x2 roundish piece, same as the other side?!?
Unfortunately I’m not a LEGO ambassador so LEGO did not contact me. I removed it myself since I felt it was a bad joke. I’m very, very sorry and I will never destroy boxes ever again. No pieces in the box were damaged and the box has been properly recycled
I would get this set, but I already have the 42096 Porsche 911 RSR which has very similar functions, also this set is very overpriced in the websites I found it in.
@@Unbrickme usually other toy companies release the f1 toys after the final model of the car is complete, but this is a prototype, not the final product
@@Unbrickme @Unbrickme They wanted to use the hype of the real car launch and season start to sell this thing better and make more money But to release with the car launch they needed to have some preset.
