I wouldn't consider myself rich, although I once spent over $24,000 on clothes in less than 6 months. Having a lot of money makes you relaxed and you don't have to show everyone that you have money. It's more the poor people or people who have less money who walk around with expensive Adidas or Nike clothes and have to show it to everyone. I know people who have sold a house for over a million dollars and not even these people would consider themselves rich. At the end of the day, it's just nice to have $5 for a nice cheeseburger and a jacket you like. What role does it play whether you wear cheap but comfortable sweatpants, whether you are rich or have little money, it no longer matters because you have to feel comfortable. For a while I even let other people drive me to Burger King because I had so much money and then, just for fun, I gave the people who drove me there, a whole menu.
