Just practical gear and the cheapest firearm you can afford. This is very in contrast with full tacticool gear and fully graded m4 loadouts that get popularised by recent (western) stalker modding. A dude in clean military gear with modded NATO guns just looks out of place in the zone (unless you are a western-backed mercenary which are rare), most of the people that would get lucky to get inside the zone would wear rugged clothes that are sturdy enough to survive through the harshest conditions and carry around a cheap gun that's both easy to fix on the go and with ammo available on the local market. Quite the coincidence to see this pop up in my suggested feed as I’m one month away from the second Stalker /k/ campout challenge me and a friend experimented with last year. There’s no better feeling than slapping together some old military surplus and sneaking into the grounds of an abandoned local factory for a night of cheap vodka, bread and spam, and hunting around for more rusty bolts to add to the collection. Might just have to use this great video as a template to convince some other friends to join us in our own local Zone!

Very good point. I would do something like that if I was going to use this. But since its going back into storage, there isn't much of a point. Besides, I though of that exactly and I decided to take used items instead of ones from storage. I am confident to say that these items have real traces of use and age instead of artificially made ones. The GP-4u is from 1958 for example and has been used and stored in shed conditions, so its completely killed with light. Same situation with the gloves, boots and the jacket. Great video! Also I like the choice of the Tokarev pistol, the world of stalker is certainly a perfect place for all sorts of weapons from almost every period of war from the 20th century (and 21st century of course) From WW2 relics, to cold war leftovers from storages, to brand new (new as in stuff like the FN F2000) creations. Same goes for other gear (I'm sure even a Type 56 Chicom rig could fit in the zone)
AMAZING vidéo ! Could you do a video about dressing like a stalker but with a more casual twist ? Something we could wear while walking through the street or going to work
I think rather than a pda (which was something more akin to the early 2000s and by 2011 is already quite hard to get) most stalkers would rather simply use a phone, preferably one with removable batteries. There's a surprising amount of electricity sources in the zone
You are thinking in western terms, in the early 2010s 90% of Ukraine/Russia/Belarus used flip-phones or like Nokia 3310s. Smartphones only started popping up in 2013 or so, however from my memory they pretty much took over by 2015-2016.
I figure some sort of a vest would add good practicality due to the high posibility of engaging in firefights or some sort of engagement. My personally addition, stalker...
That WE replica must be good. The TT-33 is in some mods of the STALKER games and some have also added the M9 bayonet and Soviet bayonets as well. You can still get lost in the mods being made for STALKER and I hope this continues in STALKER 2 somehow. A jacket like that is good and it took me a few years to consider something similar, but longer. Some local STALKER LARPers of course picked out an old leather jacket and finished it off, but I couldn't bring myself to do that, hah.
Ph by the way an overcoat can make sense you just need to put yu gear on the outside or be ok with moving the coat a side to reach them... As shown by how much American and German soldiers loved them in WW2.
Dont forget to check your filters if attaching them to the mask to wear as they can contain harmful asbestos! Check the dates and compare to see the contents. Most modern filters are fine to use on them :) also there are ways to find airsoft safe lenses for gasmasks too so you can use them as eye pro! :D
The asbestos thing isn’t as straightforward as you might think. Stand by for a video on that topic. You will be surprised to find out that asbestos is an umbrella term for a whole group of mineral fibers only a small portion of which are dangerous. There is more to it though. Thanks for your comment though)
I enjoyed the video and I will be implementing the insight, During my viewing I had the idea of making a kit like this but for the funnies make it with almost exclusively American equipment, Simply because I am one of those.
This is amazing kit and it the idea of keeping it cheep matches that idea. The practical details and ideas you put in makes it and the thought process is well thought out. Nice one. Wouldn't the SKS be abundant for stalkers?
@ProjectSparkPC like krinks or saiga variants. Break, pump action shotguns and over weapons like ppsh, ak47, akms, and probably anti materials would be plentyful?
@@leamon_3 Break action shotguns like TOZ or BM variants for sure would be the easiest thing to get. I am not sure about the PPSh just because of how much ammo it eats. The 7.62x25 cartridge is not the most common of things. Saigas were just being introduced back then and they were not as common. Out of all the stuff, I think break action, AKMs and PMs would be around the most.
my first few lesson is that bolt is unlimited and u have to use it. That invisible murdered killed me a lot. good addition i think is a lot of complaining
Indeed, it is definitely in my personal top 10. Might as well revisit it. I recommend you try the original Stalker trilogy, a very interesting interpretation of the book concept with a 1 in a 1000000 vibe.
You seem to have very good understanding of military and survival kind of concept in the eastern bloc. Do you have any information about jackets used in Afghanistan? Specifically, the one that I have been told is called "Vysotka. It is a kind of "bomber" jacket style as its called in west, made of tarp and has insulation with print on it that looks like from babushkas dinner table. I am from Afghanistan and have obtained this soviet afghan war surplus.
It's hard to tell from description alone, but you seem to have a flying jacket of some sort, though I have not heard of a jacket called "Vysotka" before. If I am wrong, there is still a plenty of other jackets that appeared in DRA in small amounts that I don't even know about. For all sorts of purposes that is. Man, the gear of the war in Afghanistan is such a complicated topic, there is just to much stuff.
@@ProjectSparkPC No problem man. Thanks for responding. I like when the content creator takes time to talk to community. I enjoy your videos I watched all of them from the beginning of your channel existence. I wait for more content. 👍👍👍👍
i have a real TT33 from 1953 with the original holster and magazine (2). its a shame because i stored it for a while inside its holster. the leather caused the pistol to rust. also the ammo is corrosive and even storing it for a single night after firing cause the whole barrel to rust brown... i guess it is more authentic. lol
Well, just like many older firearms it takes more oil and grease, even for storage. The holster should be thinly greased inside as well. And I hear that modern 7.62x25 ammo is trash in terms of corrosion, so extra steps should be taken to clean it. But it's just what I heard, I am not very knowledgeable on firearms.
@@ProjectSparkPC my ammo is from Czechoslovakia from 1956~ i think. it is original ammo for PPSH machine gun i think. it is surplus from a military wooden crate. now i keep the pistol alone in a box it there is nothing to keep moisture around it. i also use motor oil to protect it. Thank you for your videos! i wish there were hundreds of them to watch! maybe a new video idea: survival kits? like for planes and such? water purification or cookers?
Well, I am planning to do a modern RUSFOR sustainment gear video and perhaps something similar but with old school Soviet gear after that. Glad you enjoy our content!

This is awesome 🗣️
Good video STALKERs.
A lot of that Soviet surplus has gotten harder to find stateside, seeing it makes me... feel.
Don't worry, comrade, better times will come, logistics will be restored and you will get your share of Soviet surplus!
Immediately subbed, this is my favorite type of content, gun content made with gamers background
Ive never played the game but Im a huge fan of the book (Roadside Picnic) the game takes inspiration from. Highly recommended piece of literature.
Indeed, it is definitely in my personal top 10. Might as well revisit it. I recommend you try the original Stalker trilogy, a very interesting interpretation of the book concept with a 1 in a 1000000 vibe.
@@ProjectSparkPC sweet, I'll check it out!
0:21 Hey Hip whatsup!
Makes me miss my Yugoslavian M56 Tokarev I had to sell to pay bills.
Wish I had a Yugo TT, I heard they made their own modification with some cool features
Perfection
