I wish she could just stop with that disclaimer "I'm not a barber" cause we don't believe you, you're just too good. God bless you sister.
😩😂😂😂
I'm married to a barber but I'm learning. She's trying. Nothing wrong with being humble.
Barbers know how to cut hair sis
Thank you for taking the time out to show us how to cut in simplified terms 🙏
Facts.... she can cut my hair 😂
This video taught me how to cut my autistic son’s hair. I’ve been cutting his hair for two years now! Thank you!!
Oh, wow! I'm sooo glad it helped you! ❤️
Me too
My son is also autistic and won't let anyone cut his hair and I'm a single mom with no man's help so I RUclips how to at home and that's how I ended up here! Great video. Thank you
That’s why I’m here too! We had a interesting time at the barbershop today so I’m going to try this 💪🏾
Nice job mom !!! I’m a grandpa improving on my only grandsons haircuts as I do them. Just trying to convince him of that !!! He’s four at present. I’m a fan of the fade styles and they look nice on him. I was showing him your sons expressions. I said “ look he’s not crying cause he’s a big boy like you !” “ look he’s smiling cause he looks good with his haircut !”
Great job mom !!!
Lol, that is awesome! I hope he lets you do it and it turns out amazing!
Thank you a million! I have a autistic son that’s terrified of haircuts and i can never find a barber that has patience and can come to my home for haircuts. I just watched this video while cutting his hair myself and i am so happy with the outcome!!! Your the best ♥️👍🏽💯
I'm so happy to hear that. Glad it helped!
Same i have 4 boys 3 are autistic
I am attempting this as well in my Autistic brother. Wish me luck! Great video!
Not sure if my post went through. I am attempting on my Autistic brother for the first time. Great Video!
You tubers, you’re all amazing with the information you shareℹ️ . I am in the same situation of having an autistic son. It’s how I found myself having to learn from online platforms such as RUclips how to teach and groom/ cut hair ( including general hygiene like brushing teeth) in a way that suits him.
Sis THANK YOU!!!! i am a mom of 2 boys (5 and 7) and this video is a godsent. Im TIRED of havin to deal with the barbershop!. i just invested in some clippers and the outliner and i have looked at your video a couple times and I am going to start doing my kids hair!!! your video was great!
Thank you so much for your comment. I made the video for other moms and dads who were over it like I was. My boys have had plenty of bad cuts from "professionals", not to mention all the time it takes and money wasted. It wasn't worth it.
@@DanielleLaShawn omg yesssss!!!! Many times I wasn't happy with the professional cuts smh..I told my boys that they are now goin to be getting haircuts at 'Mama's babershop'.. I got them capes and everything so they will be excited about it. I'm about to be saving so much money grl. So Thank you again!!!
You explain it so much better than the men. Thank you
Lol, it's for the parents over here.
Believe me i am 19 without a kid and even i prefer the way you explain it😂@@DanielleLaShawn
Sending love all the way from the beautiful Bahamas, my son needed his hair to cut but I wasn't able to take him to the Baber due to my car being down atm... so I went through some of my hair supplies and found my clippers I haven't use in a lonnngggg while. Pulled them out of my hair bag my son saw it started playing with it so I said let me cut your hair, he started crying , until he saw the finished work... All he could say was WOW MOMMY, YOU DID THAT? I SURLY DID WISH I COULD SEND YOU A PICTURE. HE CAN'T STOP LOOOKING IN THE MIRROR AND THANKING ME, HE SAID HIS HAIR CUT IS WORTH $15.00, HIS UNCLES CAN'T BELIEVE I CUT HIS HAIR SO GOOD, THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS. NOW NO MORE BABER SHOP FOR THEM I'LL MAKE THIS MONEY NOW💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💈💃🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I know that's right! So happy the video helped you.
WOW! I'm a 17 yr old girl and my dad asked for a haircut and I've never cut men's hair, but he was very happy with the results! hes used to just shaving his hair off fully so he was glad to change it up! thank you, love you & have a good day 😊
Awwww, I'm so happy it worked out!
I have saved this video and watch it routinely. My son is on the autism spectrum and has yet to get an actual hair cut. I have been cutting his hair with cutting shears to keep it low. He turns 5 this year but I realize he can be a lot due to his various sensitivities. So I have been building up the courage to try and do it myself. Today was my first try. I didn’t attempt to fade, I only used a 3 guard to cut his hair down to help him become familiar with the process (this will have to continue for a few months to help him build familiarity before I can try anything “more involved”). He did well for our first try. My comfort helped him and I was only comfortable after constantly studying your video. Thank you. Some of us don’t have the option of a professional so this was extremely helpful.
That's amazing! I'm proud of you for doing it. I know it can be a source of anxiety even when your kids are not on the spectrum, so hats off to you. 💕💖
Wow my son has autism too that’s why I’m watching this video. He never sits still for the barber. I’m start doing it myself 💛 best of luck to you
They say us women can’t do everything what man can do i can’t tell but looking at this is very helpful especially becoming a single mother we gotta do what we gotta do by any means u did a good job queen
Thank you so much! I'm happy it helped.
Oh my God Thank you so much for putting it in mom terms not all that with the grain against the grain open closed. I get so confused with all that. This was straight to the point!
You're welcome! We just need the process, the rest is irrelevant. Lol
Thank you so much Danielle! You have been so helpful to me! I’m a single mom of five kids (three are boys) I’ve watched so many tutorials and you are the only one that helped me. God bless you !!!!😃
You're very welcome! Let me know how the cuts turn out.
Here is the truth that is hidden from most:
Sabbathtruth.com
You’re so blessed you don’t even know my son 9 and he been wanting more siblings
She is the best
Thanks Danielle. You are an awesome teacher. You explain better than professional barbers!
Thank you! I'm glad you guys notice the work that went into it.
@@DanielleLaShawn Lots of respect from Nairobi,Kenya.
@@peterkusimba that's one of the most interesting comments I've seen. Amazing that you're learning from me while across the globe... Gotta love the internet. Lol
Thank you for this! I've been shaving my sons hair for years now and could never master the blending fade technique. You don't know how much you have helped me with this.
I've got this now 💪🏾
So glad it helped you!
Me too, thanks!!!
This was a wonderful job you did wow really good for a mother you go sis nothing like a mother’s love
Thank you!
Excellent video! I'm on my third cut for my husband thanks to your videos, which are so thorough and detailed. Your little man looks so handsome!
Thank you! Glad to hear they're helping you.
Very detailed, thanks for sharing. I had already cut my son’s hair and messed it up , I took too much of the hairline and he already has a big forehead. But with your video I will be good.
You're welcome!
You are really great at keeping it simple. You give simple techniques and methods for the regular person. Your explanations on every step are wonderful. Please keep doing your thang.
Thank you! I'm glad you found this useful. 😊
As a single father with 2 sons ages 7 & 5 I wanna thank you! I knew how to cut, but u just showed me a couple of tricks! $40 is what I pay for my boys cuts, ridiculous!!
And I bet that’s before tip 😩 glad it helped!
The 40 is what BROUGHT ME HERE 💯💯💯 11 and 9 year old sons
I don’t know how to do fades and I’ve been wanting to cut my own hair for the longest, and I feel like this video will help me so thank you
You're welcome!
I watch your first video every month when cutting my lil man's hair. I'm loving this new video as well. I get so many compliments when I cut his hair and I send them right to your channel. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! That is the highest praise you could give.
Ok sis you gave me the info I needed! I am a mom and about to try and give my son a haircut from home for the first time!! I have a color coded clipper so instantly was drawn to this video! Thanks for making it for moms like me who are ready to save money by DIY 🙏🙏🙌👍
You are so welcome! I hope you get it down and never have to go to a barber shop again! Lol
Thank you Sista! You explain it so well. I have 2 cuts under my belt, during the qurantine 😁
Thank you! Tried my best to make it as clear as possible. And congrats!! ☺️
Thanks for this video as well. I liked your last explanation of teeth forward and backwards as opposed to lever open or closed. Your updated explanation is appreciated. I also like the different blending technique you used in this video. Seems like it makes the cut go a little faster. Great cut! As for the clilper oil I use Andis Cool Care 5 in 1 oil. Not only does it lubricate, but it disinfects as well.
Thank you! Good to know about the oil. I will probably order some... didn't think about the disinfecting aspect.
You did an excellent job . I cut my son's hair also. I am learning to clean it up around the edges.
Thank you! ❤️
I think you did an amazing job and I'm learning from this video to cut my son's hair this helps alot of single mothers your an inspiration so Thank you!
You're so welcome! It's definitely meant to help parents do it at home, and not supposed to be a professional course, which is how some people are taking it though I can't understand why.
@@DanielleLaShawn Because people need something to talk about anyway you helped me!
@@prettynikki3667 You're right. Lol
by far the easiest tutorial i’ ve seen so far. thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Thank you sooo much for this!! You were easy to follow and that gave me such confidence as a beginner. My son is super proud to say his mom cut his hair🤗 You are amazing!
Thank you for your message. I'm so glad the video helped you successfully cut your baby's hair.
Love the REALNESS > It's the whole video for me!💯🙏🏽✊🏾
Lol, thank you!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 awesome video; I am a barber and you did an awesome job most barbers don’t know the technical terms; you should go to school get your license and do haircut tutorials you would be great at it.. I subscribed !!!
I appreciate that
Ty so much for this video because all those technical terms have me frustrated... Professionals forget we don't have a book with those technical terms in it... But after watching your video I feel more comfortable cutting my own hair.... ☺️☺️☺️💯💯💯
You're so welcome! I had the same problem and it was sooo annoying trying to follow the professional barber's videos.
I know lots of barbers would say that's a REAL fresh cut! You seemed have made your son really proud.
Thank you!
1st video I pressed and GIRL! THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!!!
I HAVE NEVER CUT ✂️ HAIR AND EVERYONE IS IMPRESSED WITH HOW IT TURNED OUT
I JUST FOLLOWED YOUR INSTRUCTIONS!!
THANK YOU! 😊
You're so welcome! Glad you tried it and it worked out.
Thank you! This was definitely a start for me learning how to cut my sons hair. It was very helpful!
Happy it helped! ❤️
After watching ton of videos, I know that "forward" = closed (more hair gets cut) and "back" = open (less hair gets cut).
Love u for this video. I will get my son's head right. I might feel bad the first couple times. I know it's gonna take practice until I can match ur fade.
- shout out to all the ladies tryna fade. Big hugs to the moms cutting their babies.
This video was a blessing. Options, simple to understand & thorough. ♥️
Thank you so much! I'm glad it's helping you out and with practice you will definitely get it.
Yo, your moms got you lookin fresh man!
Lol
She explained this better than the barbers I was trying to learn from! ❤❤
Glad I could help!
Great job mom. I cut my 3 boys (14, 12 & 11) hair as well. Love that detangler idea. I'm going to implement that into my haircutting from now on👍🏾
Thanks so much for this video i just did a fade on my 3yr old toddler and i did a pretty good job thanks to you ❤
Yay! 🥰
I'm here as asingle mother trying to cut my sons hair so I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart. This was real, authentic & VERY helpful....thanks so much 🤍
You're very welcome!
I'm honestly so glad to see mothers cutting their son's hair instead of growing it out. It inspired me to do did this for my son since everything is still closed in Toronto. It ended up a military cut and he appreciated it.
So glad he liked his new cut!
Thank you so much for this video! I’m a boy mom of four and I spend $35 apiece on haircuts bi weekly😩this has motivated me to try myself..
Yay! It may not be perfect the first time you try, but it gets easier.
I didn’t even know I could use conditioner to soften the hair and detangle. U just save d me so much drama!!!! ❤Thank you!
You're welcome!
You did a great job! I think once you see how people cut hair on whoever or even watching videos how to cut hair you can do it you just gotta get the right materials and confidence I think anyone can succeed!
Thabj you! I agree!
Thank you for this detail video, I just did my son haircut for the first time...I have 3 boys and I was determined to learn how to cut their hair.... ❤🎉
You are so welcome! I'm glad it was helpful. 🥰
It was the fresh wash at the end that made this all the more satisfying to watch! thanks for the tips!!!
Lol you're welcome!
Shout out to lil man. He's a great model
Lol, thanks!
I love this!!! Great job. I've been waiting to cut my son's hair....my hubby wants me to cut his too.
I must say you did a fantastic job with your son’s hair.
Thanks!
Wow, that was amazing. I have been trying to learn to fade my hair for years. Thanks to you now, I think I will do a better job than before I saw your video
Lol, I hope you're successful.
You did a great job Mom👍🏾My husband I have 4 son's and since my husband( bless his heart) won't do it. He doesn't have the patience. I step in, cut his hair and the boys. Mainly because, it's $25 per cut in our city and you have to make an appointment now, YES, at the Barber!!!!! Been trimming, cutting and retwisting locks-hair for16 years, self taught. You do it long enough, you get better at it. Saves money, time and a trip.
I agree 100%. And when my boys used to go to the barber we had to make appointments too... Well before COVID. Glad you're learning to do it yourself!
For a female and a beginner/intermediate this is a great cut.
Thank you for this, just what I'm.looking for for my 7 boys.. I just wanted to say what a stunning young man you have there ❤️
Thank you!
Nice work i had to learn how to cut my both my sons hair and its saved me and my wife a lot of more , i will definitely use this video to show her how to fade me up
Thanks! I appreciate the support.
Fabulous video Ms. Danielle. You explained everything very clearly and concisely. I took lots of notes 📝 and I feel like I can tackle this intimidating job now 😁.
Lol, I'm glad. It seems intimidating in the beginning but after doing it a couple of times you'll see it's really not that hard and you'll develop your own way of doing it.
Thanks so much for being so detail. I've cut my son's hair 4 times now since the quarantine and I watch your video each time before I start. Your the best. Thanks
@@rocquelpack1145 aww, thank you!
Thanks so much for this tutorial as it has boosted my confidence into cutting my hair. Love you❤
I'm happy it helped!
This video just helped me cut my sons hair that wasnt a buzz cut. Thank you! Thank you❤
You're welcome!
Girl you are perfect a did a great job on my 6 year old with the same clippers you have 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Yay! So happy it worked for you.
Thank you your the best, simple straight to the point. Home barber movement ‼️
Lol, thank you!
For not being a barber, that cut is wayyy better then average. Good job n keep saving money on haircuts 💪🔥💯🙏
Thanks!
The end results were amazing
Thank you!
He looks so handsome, Mama! Great job! Praying that my son will let me cut his hair. He has Autism and haircuts are tough for him. He's currently walking around with one side of his hair cut because he wouldn't let his barber finish the cut today🤦♀️
Aww, man! Cutting his hair at home will probably help you so much.
Thank you. I never knew that cutting in a downward motion helps with the fade. I’ve been practicing fading, but when I messed up, I would just do a low cut all around. He just turned 3, so in excited to learn now and be in point as he gets older
Idk if that's technically right but that's what I do and it works for me. Hope it works for you too.
Brilliant. My son has just been given a haircut. He doesn't like it and I'm going to have to fix it when he's home. This helps so much. Thank you. X
You're welcome!
His hair looks so good you did an awesome job. Thanks for breaking this all the way down down.
You're welcome!
At first I was nervous, but it actually came out damn good.
Glad to hear it!!
I wish I could hit the like button a million times. ❤
Thank you.
You're welcome! ❤️
Major time lapse from the first video!! 😆😆 your little boy is so cute and goofy! Both tutorials were VERY helpful, thank you ☺️
Yes! Def a time lapse, lol. Thank you!
Danielle LaShawn you’re welcome 😊
I appreciate this so much I've been cutting my son's hair for a while but it hasn't been the best so your video is perfect thanks so much I'm definitely a subscriber now...😊
I'm so glad! Thank you for your support!
Very nice job! Your video definitely encouraged me to bald fade my sons head tomorrow😊. Be encouraged you did a really good job 🙂🙏❤️
I'm so happy you taught yourself and have the courage to actually cut. I agree your not a license barber just asa barber was until they got licensed barber PEOPLE. For a woman not licensed Danielle was talking to those not who want or need to help others due to covid. I appreciate your clip a lot to understand on my level as a beginner for me to cut my sons hair. Go girl!!
Exactly! The video was really intended for parents who want to be able to make their kids look presentable without needing a barber. Not sure why barbers feel the need to comment at all.
I love it
You explain very well I understand, I'm learning how to cut his hair, short of money
I NEED THIS!!
As a single mama to an Austic wonderful son who does not like strangers touching him or loud clippers This helped so so much I feel like a pro lol! Thank you mama! Your son looked so handsome
So glad it helped! And thank you. 💕💕
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL VIDEO . 😃😃😃. That's exactly how try to do it with my son Sean. You say you're not a barber but as my husband says to me practice makes perfect . I learn a few good tips from you especially about the machine itself.........job well done sweetie , your son is super cute .❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you found it helpful.
For not being a professional You did a damn good job 👍🏽… I am going to cut my sons hair for the first time. I’m nervous so I’m just getting all the information that I can 👍🏽… Thank You 🙏🏽
You're welcome. Good luck! 💕
hi,
like the video because you straight to the point. u explain each step clearly.
thanks
You're welcome!
Sis you have been the most helpful video I have seen yet, everyone else is too technical, I just need to get this simplified version for my boys! Your the best sis!
I’m so happy it helped!
Wow! Awesome job. This is one of te BEST demonstrations yet...You GO Mom!!
Glad it was helpful!
Initially I was gonna be critical but honestly, you just tryna get ya son right the best you know how. And knowing how to blend that guide line out was DOPE!!!!
Thank you ! That's why I emphasized that I'm not a barber, just sharing how I cut my son's hair so that I don't have to go to the barber shop. I know there are other parents that hate it as much as I do and honestly, he's had some terrible "professional" cuts before so I'd rather just do it myself.
@@DanielleLaShawn you did well tbh. It's just small things, for clipper and hair care you can find on RUclips. -And what I recently learned is that all barbers don't have to be licensed, just one and others can work under their license. So that's why some barbers be in the shop fucking up cuts 😩
They def got me MULTIPLE times, then have the nerve to charge $20 and expect a tip. 🤦🏽♀️ And I have 2 sons. That wasn't working for me.
@@DanielleLaShawn 💪🏾🖤
Goddess. Love your hair cutting videos. They provided courage for me to cut my children's hair during this COVID 19 situation. Much love queen!
Same to you! I hope your cuts turn out great.
i learnt to trim myslf via this tutorial, appreciate it!
Happy it helped!
Here for my husband. “Do whatever you gotta do” lol that’s kind of what I have been doing, going up and down sideways etc gives me a little more confidence 😅
As it should! 😂
Girl thank you so so very much I cut my sons hair today I refuse to step into another barbershop don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking up there just not for me thank you thank you thank you love all I can do is just get better you take care
Same to you. So glad you are liberated! Lol
Crazy how you teaching me better than all the professional barber videos
I had a hard time when I tried to learn from the professional barbers. That's why I made this video.
I have a 4 year old that went to the shop 1 time & they messed him up!!! I said the next time...Imma mess it up...lol Imma try this & let you know how it go....THANK YOU FOR POSTING!!!!
That's happened to me more times than I can count. Smh AND I'm paying a premium. Nope... I'll do it myself. Lol you got this! 💪🏽
Dope Tutorial. Thanks for your help. My son's haircut came out great.
My son hates getting his hair cut!! Thank you for this video. I want to try to do it on my own. I have no idea how to do it, so this is a great video tutorial. Thank you. The cut looks great!!! You did a wonderful job 💘
Same here I want to learn how to cut my boys hair soon as well, barbers are to expensive 😫
Very nice cut!!!
