Ive been doing the naval invasion trick since release. The more naval invasions in different locations, the more effective an immediate blitz will be. Just make sure the last ones are in their capital and its all good. Gonna be sad they're gonna patch it now that you told them about it :(

I played a peaceful (mostly) run on france, and I'm determined that's the way the game is meant to be played. Bankroll everyone. Establish as many people in your trade union as possible. You can often get them to accept protectorate status... and once you do, it's 1/4 infamy cost to vassalize. But more importantly.. it's just more fun.
I ended up with most of the entire world- including all of china in my market.
Reform the byzantine empire in vic 3 and do not liberalise at all

Sorry, it seems I don't get trade. How does selling opium at negative prod and negative revenue get you mad dosh ? It seems you are losing money with most of those trades. Is it a hidden stat because it is an intoxicant and everyone gets addicted and eventually they buy more and more ? Is it the same for the other intoxicants ( liquor & tobacco ) ?
Yeah you get it, at first there’s no demand, but after getting a taste demand starts to rise. High level military also uses opium which further increases demand.
