Honestly this is what I love about the monsters. They are just really big animals. Having mannerisms so similar to our our own real life counterparts. They all take part in ecosystems we (the players) only know about on the surface.
im so impressed with the quality of these creatures! the models, sound effects and diversity, also the environment they were meant to be in! so impressive!
Because G-Rank Great Jaggi, that's why. The thing moves annoyingly fast in rage mode, and although he's pretty much a joke at this point, he gets pretty hard to hit.
I think It is more accurate to say 10 meters LONG. And It's not that big when you think about it. Just try to compare their sizes in the game as if their were near you.
lulu cc that is one of the few creatures in the game you must fight with the help of cannons balista and a giant spinning spike called "the dragonator ram"
This is a very late response, but that is a Jhen Mohran, with a subspecies called the Hallowed Jhen Mohran. You fight it in the first phase by launching cannonballs at it, utilizing the ballistae on the ship, using the Dragonator (a huge, tank sized spear fixed onto the front of your ship) and by climbing on and hacking away at it; and mining it for rare materials. You also have a gong which can stun it out of an attack and is very, very useful. After a few rounds of you getting on and him shaking you off, the scene transitions to him wrecking the ship and advancing on it. You and your fellow hunters charge at it and have to take it down before it gets to the ship and destroys it. You can still use the ballistae and other tools, but it generally frowned upon. Using the Dragonator and the Gong however, is very, very useful; but only when used at the right times. You charge at the Desert Dragon and fight him on the ground, and it is fucking exhilarating xD
so their planet must really have lots of abundant oxygen since everything was huge.. i really love how that Ceadeus was shown while chacha was free walking... thanks for sharing this fantastic video mate! :D
This video was uploaded to youtube at that date, but the video was created the same year as MH3 when it was still in japan and nobody knew about Alatreon
It's a teaser/preview of the monsters that capcom released prior to MH3, as noted in the description it excludes Alatreon, probably because it's the online final monster.
I cant help but think your a human being in a game of giants monster and they expect you to beat those BIG things! its stupid its like a human versuses a mounten!
emelie simone Well, there is no need for a mount. The areas are small enough already. A mount will make mobility from one area to the other just too fast with a lot less strategy involved since you can easily charge a dying monster. Part of the game is knowing the AI, knowing where each different monster's nesting will be. Btw, the cat does help with buffs, taunts, etc. I've played MH since MH2FU. It is always a blast, even playing solo. In MH3U, you can hire AI companions to take place of where other players would be. If you are having trouble with solo questing, I recommend checking online (the wiki) for help.
it's like an anime and therefore you have special abilities. like being able to wield huge weapons, to hold your breath for like 10 minutes while swimming with amour and the weapon, and to withstand powerful blows from gigantic creatures. it's a good game indeed!
I know Tri has no many monsters in comparison with other MH games, but it has the best MH game graphics till now, even better than MH3U (colours and lighting effects are better and much more realistic on Tri). I love this game. I wish there was a MH4U version on WiiU, but not just a port from NDS.
Jurassic Park turned in its monster card and retired when placed against these beasts. All that was heard was an echo of "NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE!" in ancient dinosaur as they ran to the safety of the parks and put on the stupid sombreros for Taco Tuesday.
A sandboat with cannons, ballistas, harpoons, a giant gong and an extremely big drill spear in its front part to spike em. Also a team of four elite hunters.
Jeah, and the realism in their muscle structure / movement you can free feel the power behind their movement the hip checks (which almost every monster has XD) is a great example of it
Yes, either alone or with up to 3 other people. And you can get on its back and stuff as you chase it. Basically, you chase it with the boat for about5 - 10 minutes, then you can get off the boat and slash it as it trys to destroy the boat. Or after the boat stops, you can stay on and fire cannons and ballistas at it. It takes forever, but its a hello of a lot of fun.
@ScienceOfEmperor the 3DS doesn't have online unless you are talking about the price of the console and i think it was like 300 probably less when it released
The "whale" was the Ceadeus the offline endgame monster The "massive burrower" was the Jhen Mohran, a massive online only boss that swims through a sand ocean.
That is in MH3U, which came out in Japan in 2012, and this video was made in 2009, for tri, so, Guran Miasou (Dire Miralis) probably wasn't even a concept at that point.
Where to begin? Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is known as Monster Hunter 3 G in Japan. The Wii U version is known as Monster Hunter 3 G HD. In the US both versions were released at the same time, so the Wii U version lacks the "HD" tag on the name. How did I find this out? Google.
Imaging travelling in a desert and suddenly a giant Jhen-motherfucking-Mohran appears form the ground and flies over you. I will just run as fast as i can.
I partially agree with you on the Ceadeus fight, it really was just a dps check as was evident by the lower time limit and the mid-fight checkpoint. Still felt good to able to beat it on the first try though (Great Swords ftw), and the music that played during the fight was epic.
Well I think the point is how Diablos has such a loud screech xb He doesn't mind big scary monsters but he probably doesn't appreciate his eardrums getting shattered XD
Despite the size and ferocity, I love how the tiny human is actually the most dangerous creature in this list. That's right, don't you try to fuck with me, Deviljho, or I'll be wearing your skin as my shirt.
Those are the small, super badass percentage of players. I met a guy once who claimed he killed one going solo. He must have had a wicked determination.
maybe Alatreon's design hadn't yet been finalized when this video was made. Or maybe it's like GSD said; they were holding something back to wow players with once they got that far ingame.
That guy at last..... WAS he Big than Lao shan lung In monster hunter freedom unite? and where the hell is the blue guy in the intro the blue spike guy?
Well, I can't say for this specific game (Monster Hunter Tri) but I have played the games for the psp and I loved them. That being said, this series isn't for everyone. It has an extremely steep learning curve and will frequently make you want to break something... but then when you finally beat that monster that has been causing so much grief, there is a huge amount of satisfaction. Also, this series is fantastic when you play with friends.
Honestly this is what I love about the monsters. They are just really big animals. Having mannerisms so similar to our our own real life counterparts. They all take part in ecosystems we (the players) only know about on the surface.
hell caw they're not animals, they're monsters, many of them are a mixture of real animals
telling by the size of the insects, there much be a lot of oxygen.
Well, the size of the reptiles alone would hint at that, but yes the insects show it more.
Wait, if there is a lot of oxygen in the Monster Hunter world, how can humans survive in this world? Did they evolve or something?
Not going to lie I loved this video. I love to see large scale creatures in comparison to humans.
But thats a cat
@@Ace-qw9mf Shakalaka*
I like how the Ceadeus just made its presence known the whole way through the water area, it was a nice effect.
im so impressed with the quality of these creatures! the models, sound effects and diversity, also the environment they were meant to be in! so impressive!
I actually miss battling half of these. Ceadeus, Lagiacrus, Uragaan, Gobul, Barroth, Barioth heck even the Gigginox.
I know Lagiacrus is coming back at least.
Uragaan is returning too.
stevieFFmaster Tri introduced the most creative Monsterhunter species! #3Tri
Tri was also my first MH Game.
who is in the end? its' size is 1116 meter.
holy kittens. WHAT IS THAT THING AT THE END THAT JUMPS???
Jhen Mohran
death
Deviljho
The last, Deviljho, the giant, Jhen Mohran
Not going to lie, it was that Jhen Mohran that made me get back into the hunting game.
All I can think is "damn nature you scary!'
a tip: watch series on Kaldrostream. Been using them for watching loads of movies lately.
@Mohammad Samir yea, been watching on KaldroStream for since november myself :D
@Mohammad Samir Yea, I've been watching on Kaldrostream for since november myself :D
HOW CAN THESE MONSTERS BE THAT SIZE AND STILL BE ABLE TO MOVE AS FAST AS THEY DO
it´s a game dude.
Because G-Rank Great Jaggi, that's why.
The thing moves annoyingly fast in rage mode, and although he's pretty much a joke at this point, he gets pretty hard to hit.
Because awesome monster battles with giant weapons and little kitty friends who call you "meowster". Or Cha-Cha.
Elephants, hippos, rhinos, and cape buffalo are big, but they can also be quite fast.
I like that it's dinosaur era inspired and not your typical fantasy stuff
Yes. I am so glad they based off of reality. No mana, no magic whatsoever. Very scientific indeed. 😁 i love this series
tl;dr - Jhen Mohran is fucking huge.
TL;DW*
Mettan Atem at 366 feet long he is, but height of jhen mohran we dont know....
Deviljho was like: Hey! Don't forget me!!!
Are we basing the monsters based on their length across, cus I refuse to believe an Aptonoth is 10 meters tall.
I think It is more accurate to say 10 meters LONG.
And It's not that big when you think about it. Just try to compare their sizes in the game as if their were near you.
***** there are especially huge aptonoth that allow you to carve 3 times! those are my favorite to kill.
You gotta love the fact that this is basically a to do list for the game.
Note to self: showing this on big screen tv will give you the most amounts of chills.
I really love how this video was put together, awesome job. XD
Too bad they shut down the servers...the online multiplayer was so boss
I never got to play the online servers :/
+Jam Tan great times ;_;
+Rhexx thegreater Had to happen eventually *Even if they were WAY too hasty with it*
So much fun :'(
4:08 wtf?! What was that?? And how are we suppose to kill that bastard??
Zetsuboukudojun432 I can't like your comment hard enough, dang it youtube!!!!
lulu cc that is one of the few creatures in the game you must fight with the help of cannons balista and a giant spinning spike called "the dragonator ram"

Man, what if these creatures actually existed?
Such beautiful creatures, I'd only play that game if I could have them as a pet rather than killing them. Like, a "Monster Trainer" instead. xD
I'd like to see you tame a deviljho...no seriously, I would
Oh my goodness, yes! That one is just so majestic >3
MaLynne Harrill good luck with that *proceeds gets life insurance*
*Rides meh new epic pet into the distance.*
Jhen mohran or Diablos i would like to see you tame :3
so their planet must really have lots of abundant oxygen since everything was huge.. i really love how that Ceadeus was shown while chacha was free walking... thanks for sharing this fantastic video mate! :D
I what the lava monster that goes underground added to the monster Hunter mod at ark
This video was uploaded to youtube at that date, but the video was created the same year as MH3 when it was still in japan and nobody knew about Alatreon
i feel so proud that i know i already defatted all of them...
Swift Swalow *defeated
Considering the carving for parts after defeating them, defatted is probably accurate too.
I think this has now become my favorite video on youtube. Thank you so much for sharing.
AMAZING monsters !!!!!=)
There was one in a previous game was referred to as a mountain, I believe it was Shao Lan.
I just find it weird that our only companion/help as a solo player is a walking gord and a cat no mount or dog companion.
emelie simone Well, there is no need for a mount. The areas are small enough already. Duramboros is specifically called a mountain from his size and the humps on his back that make him look like a mountain when he sleeps.
it's like an anime and therefore you have special abilities. like being able to wield huge weapons, to hold your breath for like 10 minutes while swimming with amour and the weapon, and to withstand powerful blows from gigantic creatures. it's a good game indeed!
Yes, although as you might know by know, the lenght of the monsters vary so, they can be significantly bigger than the ones shown in this video.
I know Tri has no many monsters in comparison with other MH games, but it has the best MH game graphics till now, even better than MH3U (colours and lighting effects are better and much more realistic on Tri). I love this game. I wish there was a MH4U version on WiiU, but not just a port from NDS.
Yeah not only that but compared to freedom unite and 4 Ultimate, tri got more diverse and unique monsters
+Levobertus Wow, that is a pile of shite. In terms of design and hunt, MH4U is leaps and bounds above Tri.
+Corporal Porpoise hahahaha no U_U
Levobertus Oh dear God, it's a nostalgia drone.
+Corporal Porpoise no, I can explain
These are only monsters that were featured in the Monster Hunter Tri wii game, with the exeption of the final boss Alatreon.
I wish this was for xbox :(
There are Xbox versions but they're in Japanese and pay to play
Nope Xbox sucks too much for this game
_Phase_Klan_ Rekt_ Guess how I felt when Minecraft came to Xbox.
NWGMinecraft
Guess how I felt when I saw most trolling videos of Minecraft on Xbox
wish it was for pc..... oh wait monster hunter frontier is.... but only in asia :(
3:58 Oh hey, what's that thing coming out the ground OHFUCKMEIT'SHUGE.
Jurassic park xD
Jurassic Park turned in its monster card and retired when placed against these beasts.
All that was heard was an echo of "NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE!" in ancient dinosaur as they ran to the safety of the parks and put on the stupid sombreros for Taco Tuesday.
You know you're a true monster hunter when you watch this video and want to hunt everything on screen...great, now i need to play again after this XD
11161 .9 cm O.O
how come in every game its mostly like dinosaurs?!
@nintendo64 that is the jhen moran which can only be fought in city mode. He is an important quest to unlocking advanced levels.
Because you definitely know my entire gaming history and can judge it accurately.
Love this.. watched it back in 2012.. nostalgia.. old youtube.. im about to cry, i loved this game! especially the online mode.. miss u loc lac!
A sandboat with cannons, ballistas, harpoons, a giant gong and an extremely big drill spear in its front part to spike em.
Also a team of four elite hunters.
Monster hunter 3 for wii servers are still working?
"except Alatreon of course because it would be a spoiler to show him at the launch"
Jeah, and the realism in their muscle structure / movement
you can free feel the power behind their movement
the hip checks (which almost every monster has XD)
is a great example of it
Yes, either alone or with up to 3 other people. And you can get on its back and stuff as you chase it. @ScienceOfEmperor the 3DS doesn't have online unless you are talking about the price of the console and i think it was like 300 probably less when it released
This is beautiful! :,D
That moment when you realise how colossal these beasts are that you've been killing over and over through out the whole game
More on-topic. Those monsters are huge! Would make for quite the hunt, wouldn't ya say?
God, what would we do if these creatures were real >
The "whale" was the Ceadeus the offline endgame monster
The "massive burrower" was the Jhen Mohran, a massive online only boss that swims through a sand ocean.
This is finally being localized under the name "Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate" in case anyone didn't know already. (Wii U and 3ds)
All it needs is a voiceover from Sir David Attenborough, and we're all set.
That is in MH3U, which came out in Japan in 2012, and this video was made in 2009, for tri, so, Guran Miasou (Dire Miralis) probably wasn't even a concept at that point.
its a special event quest, where in you must defeat it using a boat and jumping on top of it, just go search "Jhen Mohran fight"
I wish this video was longer, it's fun seeing these critters like this
the glowing one is the ceadeus. the big brown one is jhen mohran
Google.
i did not even know there was that many monsters in that game i need to play it again
this is badass!!! they should do this with more monster hunters!
Imaging travelling in a desert and suddenly a giant Jhen-motherfucking-Mohran appears form the ground and flies over you.
I will just run as fast as i can.
my god, the rathian's posture screams "RIDE ME" there has to be a game where you can tame all the monsters you capture!
I partially agree with you on the Ceadeus fight, it really was just a dps check as was evident by the lower time limit and the mid-fight checkpoint. Still felt good to able to beat it on the first try though (Great Swords ftw), and the music that played during the fight was epic.
Guys the mh wiki has the monster sizes seriously check it >.> and it includes all monster not just the ones in the video
the 11k one is Jhen Moran and the 5k one is Ceadeus(I may have spelled it wrong).
Don't tell you have to fight against that giant creature.... Myyy god! Amazing work here.
I wish more of the monster hunter games were like this one: Quality over Quantity when it comes to monsters.
You guys have no idea how loud I turn this up
My neighbors think im housing dinosaurs
Maybe they have a secret underground base where they all live together and only those condemned to die are sent to the surface.
It is featured on MH3U though, which is most likely what they meant.
Jhen Mohran which is an Elder Dragon as well.
Well I think the point is how Diablos has such a loud screech xb He doesn't mind big scary monsters but he probably doesn't appreciate his eardrums getting shattered XD
alatreon and ceadeus (you can count jhen mohran too since he is also an elder dragon)
That last one though.... is HUGE!!!!
This, my friend, is the wonderful world of Monster Hunters, a videogame :)
I know. I dont get that either since Ceadeus is the Final Boss Offline.
Yeah, I was a bit too quick on the draw and stormed in on the Lagia quest without restocking my inventory...
good reference point for those guys. take the biggest known creature in existence..... now multiply it by 3.6..... now run.
Despite the size and ferocity, I love how the tiny human is actually the most dangerous creature in this list. That's right, don't you try to fuck with me, Deviljho, or I'll be wearing your skin as my shirt.
Miran Giraousou (how to spell it but it's the last boss...) is missing too...
Those are the small, super badass percentage of players. I met a guy once who claimed he killed one going solo. He must have had a wicked determination.
You fight with him in Monster Hunter Tri and Monster Hunter 3rd. The fight is in the desert
maybe Alatreon's design hadn't yet been finalized when this video was made. Or maybe it's like GSD said; they were holding something back to wow players with once they got that far ingame.
Back when I played this a ton I has a bunch of nightmares of being attacked by the monsters. Especially the ones I would farm.
That guy at last.....
WAS he Big than Lao shan lung In monster hunter freedom unite?
and where the hell is the blue guy in the intro the blue spike guy?
They never showed Alatreon as he was supposed to be a big surprise for online.
Man, I wish Raviente would have found its way onto a vid like this. As I recall, wasn't it big enough to have a separate mission just for carving it?
this would be a great surprise to those new to monster hunter, but for me? just another day as a hunter.
At 0:24 the creature in the center of the screen looks like parasaurolophus to me. It doesn't look that heavily edited either.
When that huge thing jumped over the ground near the end it reminded me of that bit in the spongebob movie
Lol @ Ceadeus and Jhen Mohran. Near the end i was thinking " but what about Deviljho? ... oh wait, there he is! "
I was watching a video where a Spinosaurus was runing on this scene, please upload this one
fantastic video, hats off to you sir! would love to see a better quality tho :(
Not everything is the size of a building and wants to eat you...just most of it.
It only makes you want the game even more.
That is a Deviljho :)
A sandship, ballistae, harpoons, bombs, 4 well armed people and A LOT of stabbing.
You shoot it with cannons, harpoons and big fucking drill while riding a sandboat!
Yeah, the Deviljo is cool
