man... the Burial episodes that this song was made is perfect. One one the best Saiyuki animation, apart from Gaiden. Bt this song lyrics was written by Minekura-sensei herself for the Burial series. Hauntingly beautiful, just like characters. Thank you so mch!!
Well done slideshow presentation of some of my fave characters of all-time. Nice tribute to the fabulous Minekura-sensei and her wonderful world of Saiyuki.

Best OP for a Saiyuki series for me. It's quite amazing that the visuals of the previous OPs got away with somewhat bdsm aethetics- and the MALE fans didn't think any of it back then- I was told. It was only fairly recently that younger audiences somehow started talking about the writer working with BL themes in the past- and though Saiyuki itself was based on a popular folklore and had absolutely NOTHING to do with BL, toxic viewers would always raise that issue to invite negativity toward this series. To be honest BL is not a perfect genre- so just as there are horribly inane and ridiculously naive shonen, fantasy/ isekai, mecha and sports anime, there are bad cases of boys' love or BL or yaoi. That's why it's just as stupid to call out writers who work on themes that do not agree with mainstream views. After all, didn't the writer of Full Metal Alchemist write Boku no Pico? And how about Oh Great who used to write straight porn/hentai before moving on to Tenjou Tenge? Even the writer for Kyou Kara Maou, who can write great comedy, used to dabble in BL. Just goes to show... Genius knows no boundaries. 😇❤
Nice song and vid~ I'm so glad there are still Burial and Gaiden~ I was disappointed with Reload and Gunlock that didn't do the manga justice. Hopefully Saiyuki will continue until the end.. and more fillers this time :')
