Ka and Ba are actual concepts in Egyptian paganism, the Seal of Orichalchos stuff is from Atlantis lore (so, too, is the relationship between Atlantis and Egypt), etc etc. It overlaps with Jojo because Jojo's concepts derive directly from paganism, too (via Native Americans, if I'm remembering).

You can tell his artstyle, especially in the early stages before he'd really settled on a style for the series, highly resembles JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Not only that but the entire concept of "Shadow Games" (which the manga was originally about before it transitioned to focusing fully on the card game) was actually directly inspired by the gambling games the Crusaders played against Enemy Stand User Daniel J. D'Arby, who'd use his stand to enforce punishments on those who lost the game.

Special Summon Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon and the Winged Dragon of Ra from outside your deck, and add Holactie the Creator of Light from outside your deck to your hand. You cannot activate any card or effect other than special summoning Holactie Creator of Light on the turn you use this skill.
