This was the song that made me an instant Mariah fan. I agree with Randy Jackson, the version sounded like something happening at a Jimmy Buffet luau. Marian owns the song. This version was awful.
This is not one of my fave songs from MC, but there's no way he out-did MC. Jason's voice is too weak to be even compared to MC. Plus, his version cheapens the original song IMO. The only person that came close to being as good as MC was David Cook, but not his live performance though. His studio version of "Always Be My Baby" came close to being as good as MC's version. If he had sang in his performance like he did in the studio, it wouldve been spectacular. :)
