Got too aggressive on the rub down your rubbing it out get a little too excited and go a little faster than you want to..I mean I can relate to this 😳🤷♂️
PSA 10/ auto 3. Spot on with this. I wouldn’t pay PSA 8 price for that card. Would have rather had a 9/10. I think what happened is the blemish was near or on the auto spot and whatever they used they never had an issue previously but it could have been a different ink and cooked them. He should at least tell the public what he is using to screw the cards up lol hopefully won’t ruin some other card. Great video Neo.
Definitely should be decertified but if it isn’t this will get sold at psa 10 comps with slight discount for auto. Seller just has to go to a card show to unload it. Unfortunately someone is going to get screwed before psa even gets wind of this
Well that is why they got a grade for the card and one for the auto. Autos can be smeared in packaging or by the player signing. Most autos are written on a sticker so it's not even part of the card technically.
There has to be consequences for these idiots that are altering/cleaning cards. Until then they are going to keep doing crap like this. So much hobby greed! What a waste of great cards😩
Yeah! Thats alot of risk v/s reward. Kudos for being able to pull that off. Personally, I don't need to go to extremes to feel happy with my hobby position. Check certs and research ALOT when buying high end ppl
Maybe you have covered this before, but I don't hear much content regarding pop reports as it pertains to crack and resubs. I run across many pop 2, 3, 4 cards that makes me wonder if a pop 3 card has been cracked and resubbed once...maybe twice. Just interested in your take on population focus. Thanks!
I've said it for several years now, the psa pop reports may as well be deleted due to all the cracking and resubmitting that's occurred since the covid noob invasion.
Autos not signed aftermarket, i.e. integral to the card, should be considered part of the surface of the card. PSA should max out at an 8 for any faded auto - solves this particular issue in its tracks.
That would help fix the issue. The problem is how can PSA know that the players pen wasn't running low on ink and that is why the auto is faded? Plus ink fades over time, a card sitting in a pack for years gets opened and that auto can be all smeared and faded. But yeah the auto is on the card so it should lower the overall grade if faded. PSA is just enabling scammers.
PSA should address this, pull his cert numbers and flag his card as altered. PSA needs to treat every faded auto on a big card as altered and work harder to detect if it got the Chinese massage parlor rub down sucky sucky me love you long time.
A card with that badly faded of an auto is considered worthless to me. I would never buy a card that looked that bad. I couldn't care less if it's a PSA 10. The auto is the most important part of the card, and that Luka card looks hideous now. Same for the Love. People who do that to cards are monsters.
It is ridiculous that some scum bag wanted to make a few extra dollars and ruined the card. I am a collector and this hurts me to the bine seeing things like this. Thanks for the video neo
It’s his card and if psa doesn’t make the correction then that’s the kind of company the hobby has to deal with 🤷♂️ I like that he is improving his card but there’s ways to go around the auto!
one of my favorite autos is my wilt chamberlain auto card in a ball point pen that looks faded he signed during his playing years… but its not faded… its just they way he lightly signed the card in his hand… its a scratchy ball point pen auto… and my most favorite auto card… not faded thru time.. just the ball point pen did not stick on the card as he signed it.. and he does not have many playing years ball point pen auto cards.. i love that card !!!!
That is different - Wilt signed the card after it was released to the public - it is considered an aftermarket auto. These cards are auto cards - released with the auto on it already.
@@blueodum yeah.. I agreee.. which makes the Wilt card so rare in a faded look… so yeah I think as u said the the current auto card faded is not cool.. i agree. i would never buy a current auto card faded...
if you grade cards and send them to the PSA vault, they all have their serial in the database. I think they only check lower printed serials like /25 or lower so the pop report doesn't look weird.
The only order i ever sent to psa was just over a year ago and the numbers started at 72....so that 9 he cracked was likely graded within the last 2 years.
I mean it's a rare card do people not understand that a PSA 9 is still "Mint" condition? FFS. The price between a 9 & 10 shouldn't be that far off for a rare card where there is no competition in the market. He could have named his price for those cards regardless. What an Idiot.
If PSA doesn't find a way to detect the "juice" this is going to keep on happening. I keep wondering what "juiced" cards are going to look like in 20 years.
Missing the point. PSA said they aren’t accepting cards that have used solutions like Kurtz. This is clear evidence that a solution was used to improve imperfections. That’s the issue
@3FiresSports - unfortunately it’s not clear evidence bc the auto can get smudged just from handling it. But it should be mandatory to grade the auto if grading the card
@@nydibs what? I’ve handled thousands of cards and not one auto smudge when handling it. That is clearly faded from something foreign being introduced to the card. Maybe sunlight from an old card I could understand. PSA should notice the deterioration of the auto and change in grade and ban this submitter and void the label
@@3FiresSports - PSA makes it clear that the auto is not considered part of the grade, the auto is graded separately. Which is why autos should be mandatory graded instead of optional

The Luka is clearly a sign of fraud. Not sure if PSA will take any legal action as stated in their updated policies. Let's just remember the submitter paid a few hundred if not more for that single card. If I were PSA as a business, give the guy a 10 and keep him coming back. Gotta keep the fiends happy right?
Sadly, you are correct. PSA's only incentive is making money, they couldnt care less about hobby trust because they know regardless of how many controversies they get wrapped up in, the sheep will continue to pay them. How many times I've seen psa reveals where the person is bitching because they got a low grade, only to crack it and send it right back to the company they're bitching about, paying them AGAIN hoping for a better result. Hell, literal psa card 000000001 is known to be trimmed, yet they're the hobbies main choice to grade? It makes no sense.
That card is trash, now. There's literally zero reason to even want that thing. Having him sign, in person or at a show, any similarly serial numbered parallel and having it certified authentic is far superior to that card, at this point.
This is silly. Simple. Just silly that the 9 grade is such a negative that you’d ruin an auto to get a 10. State of the hobby as prices fall. Decertify
If it was an accident and the upgrader is authorized w psa I almost feel like it was an inside job to make it a 10 because of the monumental mess up by the prepper. Like damn I can’t tell the customer I jus ruined their card in the process but if you guys can put a 10 on it we’ll be all good hah
i don't condone this. Yes, it has to be decertify. I really hate this. I am no Luka fan, but it sucks to ruin the autograph. In my opinion, the card is now worthless. It's a 20 dollar card now. People stop doing this shit to the cards. It's stupid.
Why would it have to be decertified? how do we know it’s cleaned with wax or spray? Guy could of simply just used a micro fiber and went to rough around the auto
@@warhammerfaction I don't think PSA allows people to wipe cards down if they can detect it. The two cards were clearly cracked, altered and resubmitted, this seems like fraud was committed.

I was just about to write this lmao
why doesn't PSA put the serial number on the card label like SGC does? Makes it easier to track serial number cards for re-submissions
Great work to all who continue to get this information out. Thank you.
I’m not an auto guy but idk rather a psa 7 auto 10 than a psa 10 and faded auto. You are buying the auto
100%
This is the stuff PSA should easily catch since the card is numbered. 🤦♂️
The cert number starting with 96 was just graded. The former cert number, the one cracked, was before they were closely tracking numbered cards
Great video, Neo! Very well said.
Thanks buddy
Yes, grading companies should be responsible and up their grading standards etc. to catch cleaned and/or modified cards, comics etc.
