Iceland February 2023

Some of the excellent times we had on our trip to Iceland February 2023.
If you are going in winter months expect all weathers and please don’t let it put you off, we actually enjoyed being out in the wild weather Iceland had to offer.
Can highly recommend Eyvik cottages for a place to stay, we loved that cabin and it’s hot tub fed with natural hot spring water.

Everything went smoothly as planned with the windy weather? Do you covered yourself with layers of clothes? You both so cute.

Pretty much yeah only thing we never got to do was the ice caves as entrance was now buried by about 20 feet of snow the guide said. Had the thermals layer on under out clothes. Thanks

How did you find driving, going end of feb and thinking of car hire?

Didn’t have any problems with driving I hired a 4 wheel drive car/suv it had winter tires on it. And like anywhere if snow or bad rain/wind you just have to drive to the conditions and what you are comfortable driving in. But I would recommend it and defo recommend Iceland

Company was called Arctic Adventures was meant to be a tour of the ice caves but unfortunately they where flooded out. Would recommend them 👍

Did you do a round trip on the ring road?

Kind of yeah. Some roads are closed during winter but pretty much done all the spots you are able to get to. Stayed near Selfoss so was good base to travel to all the sights
