One thing he said that is very true. There is no classroom that can teach you to be a technician. Especially a Field Tech. Go get your hands dirty, and listen to the old timers.
As a Cat master technician I'll say this job can take you to as far as you can imagine if you embrace it with all that you have. I have worked the pan handle area of Florida and Alabama, out in the Gulf of Mexico to the Artic sea and all of Alaska and now the beautiful coast and forest's of Oregon. The possibilities are endless.

I'm currently enrolled at Wyotech and looking forward to becoming a field tech for caterpillar but I'm having issues finding Grants to help with my education any information would very helpfull

ff you able to complete the training, the school will help you find work. Once you get experience, then reach out to recruiters like me to further your career.
