Very helpful, thank you! I agree, SkyWalking is very impressive at a first glance, and I was about to go into ventures with installing it. But OTel was also my preference, which is (as it turns out) not really supported by SkyWalking... meh...

Looking at the docs they are slowly working on adding open telemetry support. Lets recheck after a year we may have much better support.
