    I really feel like I can do this..I'm going to UGA this fall and I had alot of D3 looks and some D2 looks but my parents made me take the academic route cause I didn't have any D1 scholarships so this is all I've got left. I didn't come from a respected high school and the my coach is notorious for never sending any players to college not even trying to so I felt like playing at my school hurt my potential recruitment. needless to say I've been watching your videos and I'm hungry to make my dream come true regardless of making excuses and I appreciate you posting this valuable info ✊✊

    • @DreB
      @DreB  7 лет назад +5

      glad to hear! FYI, not your HS coach's job to send u to play in college. would be great if they do, but not his job. Your job.

    • @mchamma14
      @mchamma14 7 лет назад +2

      Dre Baldwin yeah he isn't obligated to but alot of high school coaches ive seen from other schools are able to help get multiple players to college,even if their ability to hoop at that level is questionable at best, whereas my school had some serious unlooked talent. But it is what it is man, but I do understand

Keep up the vids and i do got 1 question i know you went to a few d league tryouts how close did you get to making it or do you not want to share that information i know you played overseas but how close did you get to the nba?

    • @DreB
      @DreB  8 лет назад +1

      Thanks! theres no stat system for "how close" haha so no way to answer that

    I got cut trying out for the college basketball team 😔 i learned I wasn't in shape for the level of speed they play at. Hopefully I'll make it next year, gotta put in so much work.

    • @EasyWeezyy
      @EasyWeezyy 8 лет назад

      nope i'm fine, but the shape you have to be in for college ball is way higher then the hs level. like having to run 5 suicides and each suicide in only 30 seconds takes so much stamina.

  • @jedixd3
    @jedixd3 6 лет назад

    I️ go to a low d1 school that has high academic standards. Planned on trying out but the coaches literally have postponed the tryouts every week and now that the season has started Arent holding them all together smh

    could you try out once you're in college ? And what is the problem of being a walk on ?

    • @sacramentokingswillrise7525
      @sacramentokingswillrise7525 4 года назад +1

      The Few Problems of Being a Walk-On: Number 1: No Scholarship. Number 2: Most Walk-Ons have Garbage Time. Number 3: Most Coaches would favour the Players with Scholarships than The Walk-Ons that are Better than the Players with Scholarship.

    6'0 even 160. didn't start playing basketball competitively until around the middle of my junior year of high school. i was always a football player but that year i wanted to get in really fit good shape and dunking was always something i knew i could push myself to do if i practiced hard everyday and kept grinding. i lost a ton of fat and got into shape im now done with my senior year of high school and I say i practice 5-6 times a week 2-3hrs a day and have improved in every aspect the game so much. that being said i didn't take the opportunity to play in high school but i know i can compete and im hungry to show what i got. is it worth it to try a walk on tryout if i'm truly all about balling out

    Are all the things he said in this video useful for homeschoolers to because I want to play college basketball but I have no experience because public schools won't let homeschoolers play in high school so walking on is my only option, but I don't know if this could be helpful for homeschoolers like me.
