U didnt say what the Martha Washington was..a hotel? Inn?

Hi JoAnne, thanks for mentioning that! The Martha Washington Inn and Spa serves as a historical place to stay while also featuring a restaurant, spa, gift shop, event venue/ballroom, and more. The Inn began as a ladies college and during the Civil War was altered into a hospital for soldiers. Over time, it eventually became an Inn as it remains to this day. There are many ghost stories associated around the Inn as well as a series of tunnels underneath that lead to other locations such as the Barter Theatre.

I live in abingdon and trust me you dont wanna come visit this place used to be a nice little place 20-30 years ago until meth took over now you might get your stuff broke into and everything stolen. Not to mention how everything is so overpriced and the police are always bothering people so just not worth a visit unless your 420 friendly cause weed is legal here and you can go right in the smoke shops and get it and the lakes are pretty
