    Dude it made that start up noise and I see the yellow light flashing 😂 I immediately hit the power button. Afterthe panic attack I added paper then realized it's gotta initialize.

      Lol, nice ya it takes like a full on 60 seconds or so to initialize till it's actually ready to print once you power it on. Thanks for the comment! 🖨

    You can't go wrong with an HP printer. I bought mine 10 years ago and it still is running like new!

      This is just a good solid reliable brand and you really can't go wrong with a HP Printer, especially their Laser. Thanks for the comment! 🖨

      Sorry it's giving you troubles, try running through the setup again using the online guide where it's supposed to search for your printer (123.hp.com website) also you may need to go into the menu on the side panel and select "forget network" then run the setup again. I hope one of those two ideas help you out.

    Good Video. I was concerned about buying this from some of the comments describing it as very difficult/impossible. This looks easy so I plan to buy this

      I had read all the reviews on Amazon before purchasing as well, but the setup was really easy, just install the app on any computer in your home, and it will find the printer on the wireless network if you are going that route. Thanks for the comment. 🖨

    Do they have to use a 2.4 connection? I just got a new router and it won’t find it. My guess is I don’t have a 2.4 connection on the new router.

    • @FixMyBleep

      Hi, All Wi-Fi routers have a 2.4 GHz band. Newer routers are often dual-band router, with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, in which case you need to ensure to enable the 2.4GHz band is enabled on your router. I think the printer only connects with the 2.4 GHz but I bet you just have to hit a button on your router to enable it. Hope that helps!

      @Kernica1 Oh no, sorry to hear that. From an i-pad open a browser, try going to 123.hp.com then put in the printer model number when the page loads and see if that helps, or try it from a i-phone if a tablet won't work.

    Do you know how many pages can I print with the cartridges included with the printer? Also, it is safe to use generic cartridges?

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  Год назад +1

      This printer comes with the "Standard yield" cartridges and that will run out of toner at or around 1050 print jobs (black) and the color are rated at around 850 pages. I've seen some information saying you can use generic cartridges only if they have "the chip" installed in them. Most comments recommend using hp cartridges, but some people are saying they have found good generic ones, so that's one to research before buying or make sure you can send back before buying just in case. Thanks for the comment! I hope that helps! 🖨

    I’m trying to use this printer and it won’t stop printing test pages

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  11 месяцев назад

      Sounds like you got it set up, but I'm not sure why it's printing test pages over an over again. Try going into the print queue on your computer and clearing out all the print jobs, and also powering the printer off for ten minutes, and also restarting the computer. Hopefully that will make the test pages stop, or clear them all out. If all else fails, delete the printer from the computer, and re-add it.
      I hope that helps.

    something must be wrong because my printer is not coming up as found on the HP smart screens

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  10 месяцев назад

      You may need to power-cycle your printer, then re-run the 123.hp.com setup and run the "install printer" function again. As long as your wireless router sees your printer on the network, it should show up as an option to "add printer."

    You skipped the ONLY part I needed help with. How did you connect this printer to the network? It looks like you have to use WPS, which my router doesn't support. How do you connect to an SSID and enter the password. This video is useless.

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  Год назад +1

      Hello, you don't need to change any settings on your printer out of the box, just jump on a computer that's connected to your wireless network, go to 123.hp.com put in the model in the first box, select "next" then "Install Printer." This should load your drivers and the printer software.
      Afterwards it will list your printer, you select it and will be prompted to connect or join the wireless network, enter the wireless username and password. Sorry if it wasn't clear, there was an ad that came up just before that part. Hope that helps, thanks for the comment!
