Yes, please, I'm sure she wasn't intending on being r4cis+, but it goes to show how systematic the issue is. I hope this doesn't get swept under the rug, and she handles it well. Ik SamDoesArts had a problem with always doing the same face and a lack of diversity, but he learned and got better and addressed the issue with grace. So I hope Kooleen does the same

I think she was ignorant ab these issues bc she always draws and looks at the same type of people and she probablt didn't know that such features existed.

I’m being genuine here, if you only know how to draw certain features, and you draw all your characters with the same features, you should not be an art critic at all. If you weren’t an art critic then well, your art style is your choice, but it’s the way you see other characters with poc features and think it’s anatomically inaccurate. Protruding lips are a very real feature that many people have. You should stick to drawing the same type of characters instead of trying to draw more poc, if you do not know how to draw their features. They will turn out unrecognisable, and have their poc features erased. Which turns out ugly as hell.

@w33py you wouldnt be able to tell just by looking at them tho. koleen often tries to "correct" ethnic features and she constantly says that they are ugly. you rarely ever see her drawing anyone with a darker skin tone/different features and when she does use darker skin tones she tries to color them in grey ??? her art is pretty but very close minded and not very inclusive at all. her having an anime style does not justify it either.
