BANGKOK for the first time - useful tips: what to see, where to stay, Baiyoke Sky, Thailand 2024

😍 What to see in Bangkok in 1 day? Where is the best place to stay? Which malls have the best shopping? I flew to Thailand and decided to stay in Bangkok to answer these questions and make a useful video for you. I really liked it here!

📍 Useful places near the hotel where I lived:
• Brunch Paradiso - restaurant at the Shama Yen-Akat hotel (open until 17.00)
• Market Place Nanglinchee (Tops supermarket, The Pizza Company pizzeria)
📍 What sights of Bangkok are worth seeing:
• Grand Royal Palace
• Temple of the Emerald Buddha
• Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho)
• Baiyoke Sky skyscraper (observation deck on the 84th floor)
All this can be seen in 1 day. I also recommend taking a ride along the Saen Sap canal on a traditional wooden boat. During such a walk you can see huge catfish and monitor lizards.
The best shopping centers in Bangkok are ICONSIAM and Siam Paragon. In this video I showed Siam Paragon.
How to get to Bangkok from the airport? The cheapest way is to take the metro, which runs directly to Suvarnabhumi. And the most convenient way is to order a transfer (some hotels offer it to their guests for a reasonable fee) or call a taxi. I always choose the latter option as it is fast and convenient. Good apps for calling a taxi in Thailand are Grab or Bolt. Getting around the city is also convenient by taxi or metro.
If you are flying to Thailand on your own, stay in Bangkok for a couple of days immediately after arrival or before departure. I'm sure you won't regret it!
