Absolutely brillant camerapositions and a realistic speed on a marvelous track in the pretty green. This is a video I can watch several times - Thank you for sharing it!
Great railway. Is it 45mm gauge? Do you have any advice on rail? It looks as though you make your own. I'm in NZ and the selection is very limited unless shipped from UK or US at huge costs. I like the idea of DIY track, but even just the rails themselves are pricey. Not sure if that is the case in your neck of the woods. Cheers, Jeremy
Yes it is 45mm. I bought the brass rail and made the sleepers from hardwood, fixing the track with silicon boat nail spikes. This was a lower cost, but labour intensive exercise, it required using a jig to drill around 4,000 holes for the nails into the sleepers and the sleepers move all the time as the tail expands/contracts. I would never do it this way again…. Buy ready made track…. It is well worth it in the long run!
@@brimhillahsteam2958 Thanks for the advice, sounds like you learnt the hard way. Your track does look great and very much like the real thing. Cheers.
It is an Fx type which can be opened to let steam out the top. Also the loco has a blower for the ceramic burner and this is just cracked to keep the fire moving forward. This provides a little more steam. The chimney has a large bore to allow this.
@@brimhillahsteam2958 I will order an FX type for my Jack. I did not know that ceramic burners needed a blower, probably because I have not had a loco with a ceramic burner.
Lots of steam realistic slow running with fantastic loco & Wildlife sounds , Excellent !

I have never see so much steam coming up a chimney except for maybe a coal fired loco. Which model chuff pipe is fitted?
