Thanks for the video. I had this problem years ago and now have it again, except all have quit working. Hear it click but not fan speed. Thanks again.

This was great! My local parts store sold me the same part you used. One thing worth mentioning, the new part doesn’t fit the bolt brackets perfectly, so screwing them in was crooked, but once connected AC works great, so it’s very minor

So glad to see your a dachshund owner, no better dog in my opinion, I got two as pups , I didn’t want them , my wife did, I fell in love with them and would have given my life for them, they got too old and you know the rest of the story. It’s been a couple years now and I think of them many times every day.

Appreciate the video. May try this first. My number 5 setting never worked since I bought the truck. Was gonna get a whole climate controller but this may be the issue as well.

Mine does the same, replaced the controller and still doesn’t work. Did you find out the fix on yours?

Nice video. I had to do this to two of my vehicles. My ‘99 Silverado only had the top two speeds. My wife’s 05’ Yukon XL didn’t have any fan at all. Resistor swap fixed both.

Most everything is simpler/easier on those trucks. This Tahoe has gone pretty much trouble free up till now. Very dependable and pretty easy to work on.

This is common on my wife's 2001 dodge durango . It needs one right now but old one is melted to wiring harness . I can't remove it . If I do looks like I will need a donor harness to splice back in . My new part has no wires. Maybe I'll have to look into seeing if there's a wiring kit? Thanks .

Ive been told by many people to not use the aftermarket parts for these because you will more then likely end up having to do it again in the future.

The Dorman parts I have been buying seem to be good quality. Can't say that for other parts but that is what I have been seeing. That resistor gets a fair amount of abuse. I can see why it will go out again at some point.
