I love the way they turn the tables on this one, with women wearing kinda 1920s style male dress, drinking whisky, watching the performers. Like a role reversal of classic jazz or blues shows. Such a fun idea and a great mashup of songs.

We created a band with few mates few weeks ago just to jam a bit. In our first reharsal this was one of the songs we played. We ended up jamming and improvising on it for like 30 minutes straight. This is such a good bluesy tune to improvise on.
Romain is playing a wah pedal. It cuts the high frequencies when open, so if you rock your foot on the pedal, the high end "blooms", giving that "wah" sound.

Romain is such a great guitar player! His solo stuff is really good too, but a totally different vibe than The Big Push. It's pronounced Row-main (like the lettuce).
To clarify, Ren learned more advanced guitar techniques on RUclips, but that's not how he learned at first. He started learning guitar on his own in 2000, when he was 10. That was 5-6 years before RUclips even existed. Judging by his early songs in 2006-2009 (e.g. "Street Lights" and "Power of Unity"), he was already basically skilled on guitar by the time RUclips started to blow up. But I doubt that back then he was able to cover the John Mayer song "Neon", like he did a few years later in 2012. That probably took a lot of RUclips videos. Books help, too. On 25 March 2013, he tweeted that he purchased the book "Jimi Hendrix: a step-by-step breakdown of his guitar styles and techniques" as an early birthday gift for himself. I'd wager that he read that book cover to cover and practiced every song in it.
My favourite two Big Push Originals are Sweet Little Lady and All My Heroes, for which there is no video. Under no circumstances should you check out all my heroes. That would only lead to me happily smiling, and then I wouldn't be able to help myself, and I would like and comment and all that, and others would do the same, and you would get all these messages about people liking your video.
