Yes sometimes changes are necessary. We are starting our 9th homeschool year and I am completely changing language arts for one of my 7th graders. Sometimes they grow and mature in ways that are unpredictable.
We are doing Heart of Dakota for the first time this. My 10th grader is overwhelmed with all the reading. Would this program be able to be done over 2 years?
I guess it would depend on if you are using the World History or US History and what requirements are needed. For High School we only do the Spines and not the Living Books or the Literature (we have done a few).
What do you suggest for a 9 year old who HATES reading, is still pretty slow at it, and there have been tears at least a couple times ( if not more) and we're only 2 weeks in to the new year!😢
A lot of books you can find on audio. My boys needed adventure. Example “the sign of the beaver” we got audio from library and they also have Libby APP now. Maybe even have him follow along with the audio. Also let them read books below their level, but listen to books at or above. It will come together😉 My boys did not like fantasy, they needed to now that it is something that could have really happened😉 My 3rd who could read but did not like to read the Adventures in Oddesey books. I hope this helps❤️🙏
Your children are blessed to have such a prayerful mother! Thank you for the tips. ❤
I cannot do it without the Lords help❤️🙏
