It happens because the 458 has ferrari's new automated manual.. When you're in first gear and let off the throttle, it's gonna jerk and bog you down like crazy (it's just the way first gear is.. if you were in 2nd it would have jerked but not as much as 1st, and in 3rd it would have jerked but not as much as in 2nd, and so on). In a manual first gear is strictly an acceleration gear, the reason you don't cruise in 1st is to avoid the bog-down when you let off the throttle

The good thing is : it had a manual gearbox (which I prefer - personnal choice), and that it was on a track. appart from that, Your test drives seems to be very interesting.

465Nm of torque, 2nd gear and the car is almost stopped.... what happens at 2:50 is logic. Even with 465Nm in a 430 he is at 1500rpm in 2nd gear..... So no miracles. Até existe no circuito, mas fica bem mais caro... Acho que tem como andar no circuito de Monza, mas ficava uns 500 euros poucas voltas.
