  • Our folding dinette table latch has been a problem since day one, here's what I did to correct the problem that I wish I had done a long time ago.
I also included a modification I did to make the table more stable and how I corrected our warped table top issue.
Here's a video I mentioned worth watching to resolve a warped table top problem -

Our 2021 mini lite has the newer locking mechanism which is still a problem. The latch does not firmly keep the table legs secure. The table is also very wobbly. So what i will try this, I purchased two 5/8" expandable shower rods and i will prop up both sides to keep it from rocking .... I find it very frustrating that a $30k trailer needs Constance modifications to make the camping experience more pleasurable. I don't remember my 2010 RV with these many issues. Newer seems Not to be better.......

Hello Ed, yep a lot of trailers today are needing lots of repairs and modifications and its sad since we pay so much. The table wobbling seems to be a big problem for so many, I'm thinking your curtain rods may just do the trick to stop it from happening. Good luck www.youtube.com/@thetraveltrailerguy/videos

Good job, but why didn’t you just glue the yellow button to keep it from falling out.

Hello Chris and thank you. Good question, I thought about gluing the yellow button in but was worried it would just fall out again in the future plus my wife has been dealing with a little arthritis and I wanted to help her out by giving her something easier to work with. www.youtube.com/@thetraveltrailerguy/videos

My table, it’s a 2020 model, still has a pretty severe wobble where the hinge joins the legs. I will try various fixes this Spring after we get out of the deep freeze we’re in. It was 20° below zero this morning. Thanks again for your information.

Fantastic mod. I'll be doing this today.
With your table bow you solved could it be from weight on the table while in the down position between the dinette pedestals? Like ours, I noticed the table legs do not touch the floor while in the down position. I placed 1x4 & 2x4 pieces under the legs to remove downward stress.

Thanks for watching and commenting Hal. I really like how much easier it is to unlock the table leg now after replacing the little yellow tab. I think your right with the table sag because of he table legs hanging, I might try your idea of using blocks to support them while in the up position. I must say the table top has been staying straight after I did my modification. Thanks again for watching. www.youtube.com/@thetraveltrailerguy/videos
