    When is the PS Version 3 coming out with the built in Cyclops unit? 😅

    Nearly perfect. For me, I would have liked the footswitch socket to be midi, so I can use in presets on my voodoo gcx / ground control without taking up a loop on the gcx....I've still ordered one though. Keep up the great work.

    That’s so good! Well done guys! When are you guys bringing out an impedance matcher? I use my powerstation a heck of a lot for the reactive load portion of the unit but sometimes just use it to match impedances eg my Fender silver face Bandmaster to an 8ohm cab. Is there product development in place for such a piece of equipment as it would free up my powerstation for other tasks? Thanks.

    Hi there, I have a question on Cyclops. I currently use my Plexi amp slaved into my Fryette PS100 and my Boss GT1000 in the loop of the PS100 so I can use Reverb and Delay. In addition, I wanted to "create" a clean channel by bypassing the Plexi amp and use the Boss GT1000 as a preamp to drive clean tones/signal directly to the PS100. Would the Cyclops be able to accomplish that? If so, how would the connections be as I can't visualize it? If I follow the manual/direction from this video, I feel like I would be bypassing the Boss GT1000 all together when I have the amp on and losing the effects I currently have from the Boss GT1000. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Does the direct XLR out jack still work in the configuration shown in the video? If it works what is sounds are in that direct XLR jack and can we connect it to our DAW.

    Oddball question: would this function to switch between a pre and full amp into the power load IR?

    To FRYETTE: I have a PS100(which I love) HOWEVER:: I was wondering If the cyclops in ANY way solves the problem of Not being able to hear the Effects in the effects loop in the outgoing "line out" (either balanced or unbalanced) that goes to the DAW. You stated that the "effects loop" is AFTER the "line out" Thereby nullifying any effects in the loop. So the only way I can see around this is: Going from the "Balanced line out into the input of the effects chain...then from the effects chain out, into the DAW...Is that about it???

    • @FryetteAmps
      @FryetteAmps  4 месяца назад

      The Power Station Line Out is a line level copy of your amps output connected to a load. That is what you would normally send to an interface or DAW and add your effects within the DAW. The FX Loop takes that Line Out level and sends it to external effects, then returns them to be sent to the power amp stage in the Power Station so you will hear the effects in the speakers. So what you're asking for is TWO Line Outs. The one that's already there serving its intended purpose, and then another one that feeds off of the Power Station Speaker Output that you can use to send the total effected signal to wherever else you intend to connect that. Since there is no room on the rear panel to add another line out, you should consider getting an external line out level box for the second function. Or, simply send from the loop to pedals and the output of pedals to your recording interface or DAW for example.

    im ordering one either way for my amp/power station combo. but lets say I have a tube amp with a non buffered serial fx loop, and also a tube preamp. why couldn't I do the same thing with that? just use the fx send as the "power station line out". if that would work then I need 2.

    Could you use two amps instead of a preamp IF you ran the 2nd amp thru a load box,and used the line out to the “preamp “side of the Cyclops?

    • @FryetteAmps
      @FryetteAmps  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes. Simply connect the PREAMP IN jack to the amp input and connect the Line Out of your secondary load box to the Cyclops PREAMP OUT jack.

    If youre running multiple preamps via a switcher is there gonna be evident popping when switching between preamps and is it best to incorporate a mixer/splitter

    • @FryetteAmps
      @FryetteAmps  5 месяцев назад +2

      Any good switcher will incorporate a pop mute function.

    Will you be able to use the cyclops to run 2 x tube amps into power station?

    • @FryetteAmps
      @FryetteAmps  5 месяцев назад

      The Cyclops is not designed to handle amplifier output level. You would need a dedicated amp/cab selector for that to prevent signal bleed, oscillation and damage to the amp.

    1. is there a way to connect 2 tube preamps and switch between those versus a preamp and an actual amp head?
    2. Can I use just one preamp with cyclops? I’m contemplating buying it so I can go into the line in of the power station and free up the effect loop since I’ve been going into the effects return of the PS2A direct from preamp.

    • @FryetteAmps
      @FryetteAmps  4 месяца назад +1

      1) Yes. Easily. 2) Yes, that's fine too.

      @@FryetteAmps can you explain how to wire up the two preamps?

  • @VoeWang
    @VoeWang 5 месяцев назад

    In this example they are using SYN-1 as a preamp, this device already has this feature as one of its main use is to add channels to your amp head. So why can’t we just first set up the SYN-1 and the amp head, then use PS in no the amps output??

    • @FryetteAmps
      @FryetteAmps  5 месяцев назад +3

      Yes, you can do do that. However, in this example, the Cyclops is providing the buffer and ground isolation to the Syn and amp inputs, which improves frequency response and reduces noise. When using the Syn "Add A Channel" function you lose access to the Syn master volume and it uses the Power Station effects loop. We are using the main out of the Syn 1 which allows you to use the Syn master volume to control the level of the Syn and saves the PS FX Loop for effects. This is more effective for volume balance between the head and preamp, and also reduces noise.

      They are all instrument cables. You only need speaker cables between the amp head and Power Station Amp In and Speaker Out.

    I also like to see a video that shows how to hook up the Cyclops and the Power Station with a KHE amp switcher where you can have multiple amps and pre-amps and get a direct line signal to your DAW for the complete experience if it is possible.

  • @livefromstudioa8245
    @livefromstudioa8245 5 месяцев назад

    SOLVED: should have read other comments first. I understand now that they are all instrument cables except for speaker cables between the amp head going in to the Amp In jack and the Speaker Out jack going to the speaker cab.
    -------
    I’m a simple man. And that might be an overly generous statement.
    Can you tell me which of the six cables used in the connection walkthrough in the video are guitar instrument cables and which are speaker (or other) cables?
    Are there still no stupid questions or did I ruin it for everyone?
