There is a lovely Asian Restaurant on the Island owned by the kindest warmest Filipino lady called Daisy. I was there this last weekend.... well worth a visit

I worked on Ascension as a Superintendent for Speegle and worked on the Barracks 13 Remodel and had a bunch of idiots working on other projects like wastewater treatment plant and the fuel dump with the rusted fuel lines..!
Anyway, they puffed me off and I took off on the RMS and went and spent a wonderful month on the island with Jason Mercury's and his Granny! I also met Keddle and Danny next door!
I had a wonderful month there and would like to send my kind regards to all of those who my remember Gary Campbell from Speegle!
A wonderful decision to bail on Speegle and come visit you.
I remember me and Neville Hearn used to catch crabs on Ascension and take the claws to the Governor's house!
A memorable part of my life!

I'm ENGLISH but do I need a passport to enter your country with it being a BRITISH OVERSEAS TERRITORY but your very lucky to have been born there away from this hellhole the UK? But could i just fly over there and buy a house and stay for good or is there the same beaurocracy like we have in the UK? But what are the real estate prices of houses over there are they very expensive if you don't mind me asking that is?? Thank you..😊👍

I am from India. I am fascinated to see such a beautiful remote island. I wish I visit st Helena once in my lifetime.

Saint Helena is one of the most spellbindingly pretty islands on the Earth. Its heavenly landscape in the middle of all these endless ocean's waters is like no other in this world....

I call st helena heaven on earth. The people are lovely and i have many happy memories of my two visits. Im now 75 but still long to return.

Since around two years, I am dreaming to come to St.Helena. I have been to many countries that I have dreamed of and I lived there. And I believe that I will really come and visit.Would be good to get a better connection from Germany
I visited St Helena a couple of months ago. It was fantastic: one of the best holidays I've ever had.
Amazing
This Island was used during the Anglo Boer War of 1899 to 1902 of England against South African Boers as a prisoner of war deportation camp.
When I spent a month there, I used to hike around the island and would nap sometimes at the Boer cemetery!
I'd also go down and visit Napolean's grave on my walks...
Perfect place to have a puff...me and Nappie, sorta!

Longwood house St. Helena would have been a perfect place of exile for Tsar Nicholas II and his family.
the 3 bahraini prisoners were not princes, they were oppositions to the british forces on the island. they were: mr. abdul aziz shamlan, mr. abd ali alaiwat, and mr. al bakir. ultimately the british courts ordered their release because of unlawful arrest. they spent 4 and a half years in st. helena prisons.

I also find out recently that my family from my father's paternal grandfather hails from this island...all the males in my family has names...Robert( Robbie) Thomas...Charles.. Henry....Frank..John... A missing link with our past.. Very strong links with Port Nolloth ,South Africa.
