When killers show up quoting MacBeth... someone is going to find out. A friend of mine, a former paratrooper, jokes about the Cliff Notes version of MacBeth are "he dies, she dies; everybody dies!"
sadly a consequence of the invitation/greeting on the voyager recording i really wanted there to be more in the story thanks for the story and narration
there's also this other story The Beard narrated about Humanity a few thousands of years into the future getting our little Voyager back, which is still a 10/10
I feel so deeply the stories i hear from my favorite narrators. Its hard to drive and cry at the same time dont mind the (ptsd), i revel in the proper course of actions they take
During the first day of our invasion of the Human's colony they sent just two words to our fleet. The words were "F*ck off!" To bad we didn't listen, because if We did, we might just might not have been bombed back to the stone age two times over.
@@nadjasunflower1387 Considering that there are cultures/countries here on Earth that still harbor grudges against each other after centuries, an outside force coming in and "F-ing around" will cause everyone on the planet to unite in a "It's time for you to find out" mentality that WILL NOT move until the idiot has felt the pain.
If you attack Earth and any trace of earth life survives the attack. Be it on or beneath the surface, in an off-world colony, or generation ship. Something will survive. Something will remember. Something will rebuild stronger. And that something will bring vengeance.
And they were stupid and arrogant enough not to be absolutely certain that they eliminated all life from the planet. That was their mistake and one they will not live long to regret. Would like to hear the Thriven reasonings for though.
I dunno, I was listening to it on my car ride home, suddenly it cut off. Next red light I got to, I looked down and it said video unavailable. I hit refresh, and it said video private.
This is a spiritual sequel of sorts to a movie called Without Warning (1994). Where three asteroids hit earth at locations that make a perfect triangle.
Looks like someone took a walk down Fuckaround Road, and wound up in Findout Hollow.
I offer you a sacrifice of Engagment upon the altar of the Algorithm.
A Interaction for the Interaction God, a Comment for the Comment Throne, for the Almighty Algorithm
Engage the algorithm, appease the algorithm
A reply , well done thou faithful viewer. Let these sacrifices drift up like incense from the alter. Let the light guide us from story to story.
So saith we all
All hail the almighty algorithm
That which does not kill me made a grave tactical error.

I mean...he's not wrong. 🤔😁
I assume that as their world was destroyed, history became far more precious to humanity.
Great story; Excellent narration! I hope there is a sequel that tells the story of what happened after the bombardment.
Looks like this is it, author wrote it 9 months ago and there does not appear to be any more chapters than this one.
@@overlordmagnatronThese stories are like that. I think, perhaps a good thing. Makes you think for yourself, what might happen next.

@@xavilius9488 i remember that. it was pretty good far future scifi
There kinda is more to the story, it says it's based on the movie Without Warning...
You tried to kill us before we could walk. Well, now we can run. So you better flee.
flee as fast as you can, stop and you die
humans are persistence predators, we chase to death
I remember seeing Without Warning when it aired on TV... it was very well-done.
I know I heard it before.

Sounds like a typical day for the Administratum, Munitorum, and Mechanicus when a Guard Regiment ask for supply or reinforcements
Greetings, Mentlegent!
For the Rhyhtm that is Algo
The Thriven DONE SCREWED UP! And now the consequences have come due
The Thriven doing a little FAFO with the walking nightmare that is humanity.

150 yrs to get back into space and another 50 or so to wipe them out... sounds reasonable.

Rookie Mistake, they didn't get us all

Thus the Thriven were exterminated and no one paid the humans revenge any mind.
A like and comment for the algorithm. That was wonderfully read as usual. I'm gonna have to go up vote the original story.
If I recall correctly,, there is a continuation...
along the lines of,
The Thriven sell their old hulls
Without Warning is a brilliant movie, well worth the watch! Don't be surprised by its ... odd start.

There’s a Bene Gesserit saying,” she said. “It goes: ‘Do not count a human dead until you’ve seen his body. And even then you can make a mistake.'"
Yeah, that would do it. Rip and tear.
Thank you for the video.
Missed the first one so I don't know what broke, lol
Audio problems.
Me specifically, I could only hear Audio from the left side of my headphones.
I dunno, I was listening to it on my car ride home, suddenly it cut off. Next red light I got to, I looked down and it said video unavailable. I hit refresh, and it said video private.
Audio left side only
How engaging!
I actually get a chance to say something lol usually I listen while working/driving
Same lol
Ya, I'd say they left out a few details.
Were there any additional stories with battles when the Thriven?
Beware the wrath of Humanity
The Thriven are so screwed
They're being nice they just cut them off from space.
Boom baby!
Excellent story !
Great story/narration. For the algorithm!
I mean you no harm algorithms. I am a peaceful being
Ok- I will give this one another try… lol
I like this one! 4TA!

Plz accept my offering of a comment oh Algorithm.
I lost the game.
