there have been several geniuses that were... simply shy, or introvert... I've been lucky to meet (and befriend) a famous Italian singer, who once told me that it took him several years to be able to get on a stage and sing in front of a large audience. He had been singing in the company of his friends, no problem, but when he was getting on stage he felt panic.

My elementary school English teacher was this really strict older lady that pretty much everyone either disliked or downright hated. But now, over 20 years later, I can safely say that she was my favorite English teacher throughout my school career.
She didn't tolerate any shenanigans so, even though it sucked as a kid, we actually got things done during class. If someone had a question or didn't understand something she explained things well. She wasn't there to make friends or be nice with the kids, she was there to teach us. And in hindsight I really appreciate it. I don't think I would've picked up as much as I did with any other teacher. Later on I became a lazy student and did very little actual studying and ended up learning most of my English from watching tv, movies and reading things online 😂

The summary of the six action plans to break free from struggles with spoken English:
Action Plan 1: Talk to Yourself
Practice speaking English by narrating your daily activities or thoughts out loud.
Action Plan 2: Talk to a Tutor
Engage in conversation with a personal English tutor who can provide corrections and feedback.
Action Plan 3: Write and Practice
Write down what you want to say before speaking, especially in situations or conversation topics that interest you.
Action Plan 4: Focus on Fluency
Prioritize fluency over perfection or accuracy.
Action Plan 5: Use Language Learning Apps
Action Plan 6: Seek Immersion Opportunities
Find opportunities to immerse yourself in English-speaking environments.
Thank you, lovely Lucy. I will definitely incorporate four of these action plans in my next 3d animation video. Thank you for the inspiration! 😍😍😍😍

I can actually relate to this too. I had a childhood friend whom I befriended at the age of three. He moved to Canada when we were in 8th grade. At that time, I was the top scorer in almost all of my English classes, and even on the final test, I scored second in the whole province. I've always kept in contact with my friend through text because I was confident in my grasp of grammar and language. However, when we met in person, my voice seemed to disappear, leaving me at a loss for words. It was as if I had forgotten English entirely! While I could write in English without making any grammatical mistakes, when it came to speaking, I just seemed to vanish. I think this has to do with the fact that I've never actually engaged in extended conversations with native English speakers before.

Yes I can relate to that as well. Much of the tips you give in this video’s, I already doing that myself. I started my YT channel in English with no voice overs, only written text. But after a while, so much people asked for spoken tutorials. If I knew that beforehand, I probably started a Dutch channel only 😅. I can formulate English quite well in my head, and I write down the entire script for a video first, but even then I stutter and struggle so I need to edit a lot in post. I hope it will get better over time, but I think I’m understandable most of the time. Thanks for sharing these tips, they’re helpful.

Well I can relate to it in a way.
I am not really fluent in English but I can decently talk with it. Although I can sometimes take a pause to browse a word from my vocab memory 😂.
Tho I'm glad most of the tips you gave, I've already been following them for a long time. I talk with myself a lot in English and that little voice in my head which acts as an altar ego also speaks with me in English. Which I think helps me keep the volatility of my English speaking ability.
And tbh it's not a very practical method but it's an effective enough method to keep a steady flow of your English language 👍🏻

Our parents and grandparents did a good job teaching us our native language. All the question we could come up with were answered in a simple way. It's nearly impossible to do the same with your second language you try to master. Feels like it would take a couple decades to really get the gist of it

Recording your voice and creating a video of yourself speaking, helps A LOT! Also, speaking out loud to yourself; it could be anything: from your thoughts, mood, anything which you want to speak about.
Secondly, when I was an English trainer, for vocabulary, I used to write 4-5 words on board, simple but new, and then asked my students some questions which would include at least one word from those 4-5 words. I gave them time to think and frame the answer and they would use the word(s) and feel good!
Thank you Lucy for such an amazing lesson, as always! I have been following you from last 5 years now and have always learnt from you. Since I am an Indian and majority of Indians speak in British accent, influenced by our mother tongue (in my case Hindi), so following your videos makes it easier to understand and implement than any other accent.
Keep on uploading such informative content ❤
