i have my theory aswell: I think in what the video has shown us, i think they've gotten the trolls talents for stealing a huge amount of talents from them and gotten the trolls talents permanently.
I kinda like thinking of it this way: With all the singing they've done, yes its because they've been stealing talent but they could essentially be learning without realizing. The first explanation of them not being able to sing would be because their tone deaf but that isn't exactly the case. Being tone deaf doesn't just apply to music, that would also make them deaf to the tone of when someone is conveying their emotions while speaking, which doesnt apply to them(atleast i dont think so). Back to what I was originally talking about, I'd say veneer would have a higher chance of this happening because during their last performance, when he ran out of troll before his sister, he still kept singing. (please correct me if im wrong cause I haven't watched the movie and only clips of it but I'll watch it when I can to confirm my thoughts)
You're right Veneer did run out of trolls before Velvet did yet was still able to continue singing. Something I think is they still have a bit of Floyd's talent in them (especially Velvet) because of how many times they used Floyd as perfume AND Floyd doesn't have his full color back yet, possibly meaning part of his true talent is still missing in him. Not 100% sure it's the case why Floyd's hair is still partially white but it's just a theory. Another thing I think is Veneer can actually sing to some degree because he uses way less of the trolls talent than Velvet does. Then again Velvet just kinda goes crazy when it comes to taking the trolls talent for the fun of it, kinda like it gives her a type of high if you will. Not that strong of a theory, I know, but I think it's an interesting argument.
