I just bought the same junior loft bed from Wal-Mart for my youngest except in white, and we couldn't be more pleased with it! It's sturdy and serves our purpose well. I'm with you on not having expensive furniture for kids!
Love seeing Catholic moms on RUclips 💗. May God bless your family. Beautiful work!!! I’m about to have three under four years old so I’m looking for ideas to fit them all in one room
I love how the rooms are realistic and kid friendly! I’m with you - I need something that can withstand the wear and tear and expensive bedroom furniture is not conducive with this season of life. It’s all about efficiency!
Loved this! So functional and practical. I’m totally on board with not spending a fortune on kids furniture. Plastic drawer units are so versatile and hold up well too. 🤗👏🏻
I love how practical this video is. I’ve been Vlogging for sometime and I’ve never shown kids rooms because online bloggers always look like their stuff is soooo extra extravagant and not a normal cozy home. This is what you have and I do too. This really encouraged me. Plus I have 4 boys and love in the same state and go to church❤ love the commonality 😊
Thank you for sharing. Their whole room looks so comfy and inviting. I love how you’ve organized their closet. We have 5 children, our oldest a girl and 4 boys. Our home is 740 sq ft, we live in Southern California -2 beds 1 bath, and they all share a room. We have made it work so far. We will be redoing their closet soon and I’ve been looking for better storage ideas. I really like the storage bins you have. God bless and protect you and your lovely family.
We happen to have 4 boys and a girl too, and living in a small 640 sq ft flat. That's a challenge for some but we made it work to! I'm pregnant with my 6th and still thinking we have spare space :)
Ana, Congratulations on baby #6! Yes, its been a process and lots of decluttering to help us live more comfortably in a small home. The best part is hearing my children say “I love my home.” That’s what matters 😊. God bless and protect you and your family.
I love this set up so much..so inspiring I love how simple and clutter-free their room looks Well done mama I would love to see your girl's room as well 🤗
I love everything about this space. I'm about to have my three girls share a room ages 3, 5, and 14. You're giving my inspiration for when I get the other two out of toddler beds for the sake of floor space.
Grew up in family of 8, mom, dad, 3 girls, 3 boys. We lived in a 3 bedroom, 1 bath house. Mom, dada had a room, girls had a room, boys had a room. It always worked.
I have the same bunk bed for my kids. The ladder stuck out and took up too much space, so we straightened it out, removed the lower part (it detaches), drilled a hole through the lower frame and into the ladder, then fastened it to the bed frame with a screw. Now it's a flat ladder. Just in case anyone else hates hitting toes on ladders!
Thanks so much for this room tour, Tabitha! We are also in a smaller space (@1300 sqft). No basements in coastal SC. We converted the garage to a small fourth bedroom and a small school/storage/office space. Our boys at home are 6 & 8 and so rambunctious (destructive 🤦🏼♀️), so I really appreciate your realistic approach to furnishings in the kids’ rooms! Your mural looks so great! You really are one multi-talented mama❤️ I feel inspired to tackle a refresh of their room now😊
The zip tie idea is genius! I used wall anchors and drill to secure a shelf on each wall of the bunks. Didn’t last long. Now I have holes in the walls and a bed full of markers and nicknacks.
Tabitha, you have great organization ideas and I love the mountain theme. Maybe a couple of command strips to hang that wood height measure. When one of my sons was in his college apartment he had a plastic drawer piece in his closet and we put a wood plank across the top to support the weight of items (like the laundry baskets) so the top drawer slid more easily....you could just get one long plank for all 3, quick and easy.
Thank you SO much for this! I have 4 boys and the three older ones share a room and always have but I’ve never been able to simplify and organize it like this so seeing it done is so helpful!
Hi tabitha, love your channel and congrats on the new pregnancy! Could you please go a video on your routine for getting yourself and all the kids ready for church? Thanks!
Our home isn’t Pinterest picture perfect either. It’s a real home that is lived in! ❤️ We also live in a small home. We just purchased ours last year. A hard working dream, a house on land. We moved from a huge house we rented. We wanted a small house with lots of land and that’s what we got. I didn’t want to spend my life cleaning & we spend a majority of our time outside. Our kids use their rooms the same. For bed & clothing storage. So we have 8 in a small house too, and it works beautifully. ❤️
I love what you have done for you boys room I’m in the same boat about to have my 6 child which is my 4 boy so I will have 3 boys in one room and I was very lost at what to do for this room thank you for the inspiration
We moved to a RV for a while, and fit five of us kids from 17 to a toddler in one room the size of a bathroom. It is possible, you guys! The travel trailer was 350 sq. ft. and that was downgrading from a 5,000 sq. ft. house. There were nine of us, including Mom being pregnant with the eighth child. The other two children slept out on the couch in the main "room" of the trailer. It was really fun, but we're happy that we bought a house in the country! There are two houses on the property. One of them is an old farmhouse we are remodeling, and the second house is 600 sq. ft. with an unfinished shop 300 ft. of the 600 ft. For several months, all seven of us kids slept in the living room the size of your boys room. Life has been crazy for so long, but at least it's not boring!
This made me feel very grateful that even though I have two kiddos and eventually 3 in one room there’s two full closets! You really utilized the space very well
Same situation here!! 3 bedroom house, three boys all under 5 and a little girl on the way. Lol the two oldest are in a room together, and I plan on putting the 3rd in with them when our girl comes along. I get a lot of crap from some people about space… but we also have a basement for play. Like you guys, all they really do is sleep in their rooms lol. I grew up with two brothers and sisters, shared rooms until everyone graduated lol. Its life!! So I’m with ya mama!!
Absolutely love this! I have 5 also and working in a very small space! Definitely going to try out your method in the closet and locking it. Omg idk why I didn't think of that!
would love to see the girls room as well :) thanks for the video im expecting another boy and we are currently living in a 1 bedroom apartment so i need to really get creative with how to organize and store everyones things :/ not easy lol
There's only 4 of us in our home but we have a smaller house as well and we try to keep it very minimal if possible. Love their rooms! And I see your adorable little baby belly!!! Love it! ❤
My kids have those jr loft beds also. We have one in the girls room for 2 girls and 1 in the boys room for 2 boys. My girls love to hang blankets and make tents and forts and hang out on the bottom bed too. I'm 31 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. I had been thinking about selling our other loft bed (still in the box) and just buying a twin bed. But I really like the idea of a hang out area under the loft bed so I will probably just use what we have and set it up like you have.
My boys also have a similar sized room. Keeping it as a room just for sleep is the key. My concern right now is for when they get older. I wanted to buy some sturdy full over full bunks (like what you would see in a cabin), but they were out of my price range. I’ll probably eventually have to turn my garage into another room…not sure.
I'm also currently pregnant with our 2nd baby and we have a 2 bed 2 bath 1200 Sq ft farmhouse 😅 I've been stressing about space because we already use one bedroom but this makes me feel better and not so stressed about having enough space. My MIL says "pack em in life sardines they'll be fine" 🤣
That is the same way we have started doing laundry. My teenagers have done their own but I recently started having younger ones do their own too because I got so tired of sorting clothes, especially when 2 of my girls are almost the same size and I never knew who's was who's.
Like your buddy's. Was wondering how the boys get their items out of the bins with the folding doors in the way. Looks like drawers won't extend very far. Love your mountain decor. You are very creative.
Homeschool Mom of 6 as well! Do you have a playroom??? Where is your toy storage...we have a big old house so all my kids have separate bedrooms and some are small so toys are spread out. We love Once upon a child, also Catholic, we do have a large extra bedroom however it does double duty as a guest bedroom and Homeschool room.
Here’s a comparison between houses in the UK and the USA - 1400sq feet is large in the UK for the average family. Not enough space on this tiny island, we’re all in little boxes like caged animals! That’s how I feel anyway haha!
My kids are the exact same way!!!! Just so ruff with everything especially my 2 year old, she has managed to chew on her crib to the point that it can't even go to Goodwill. I too refuse to spend a ton of money on my kids stuff until they are older and can appreciate it
@@ThisMamasHouse Yes kids are kids BUT they should be taught how to handle their things and not break it or sticker them ( give them books or tablets or something to sticker up) but the loft bed looks good
I’m trying to talk my husband into trying beddys. He is worried that the kids might break the zippers (they can be less than gentle lol), do you think the zippers will hold up over time?
So my husband is from MI. We have been married for a long time and we have children. We just got back from Mi 2ish weeks ago. Other then the weather what would you say is annoying or bothersome living in MI? Im trying to figure out how I will adjust when we move back.

This is a wonderful, well thought out boy’s room. It doesn’t need to be huge to share brotherly love. I love the mountain wall mural.
This is so inspiring! God bless you for building a big loving family and setting an example that you don’t have to focus on STUFF! People are BETTER❤️
I’m in a 3 bedroom with 8 children u can definitely make it work great video xx
Wow. And I’m worried about fitting four in one. Go mama
How do you fit 8 kids in 3 bedrooms?
We live in the same square footage and only have 2 kids. Hats off to you on making that space work!!
Congratulations on your pregnancy, children are a blessing from God🙏❤️

Suggestion. Put pool noodle on the pole part to keep it from hitting the walls. Or you can use sponges as well with tape.
I love how the rooms are realistic and kid friendly! I’m with you - I need something that can withstand the wear and tear and expensive bedroom furniture is not conducive with this season of life. It’s all about efficiency!
Definitely!
I’d love to hear tips on how you do bedtime routine with multiple kiddos in the room who might need different bedtimes or some nap when others dont

Such a smart idea to buy only two paints and mix for the third color!! And so smart to zip tie the basket to the bed! Thanks for sharing the tips.
Girl, I'm Catholic too (in Ohio). Pregnant with baby #6 and live in a super small house too!!! It's so great to see another mama like this.
You’re doing a great job. We had 7 kids all grown up now and this reminds me of how we managed in a pretty small house.

My kids have Beddys too...best purchase ever. Expensive, but well worth it.
You said stickers and I felt that in my soul. 😂 🤦🏽♀️ kids!
I love this! Very creative. Can you share your girl's room too?
Omg great idea for the closet lol my boys do the same thing problem solved thanks tabatha :D

Like your buddy's. Was wondering how the boys get their items out of the bins with the folding doors in the way. Looks like drawers won't extend very far. Love your mountain decor. You are very creative.
They pull out just enough! Most times I help the 4 year old and 1 year old get dressed anyways

Hi I'm new to your channel Cambria sent me love rose xx
Very nice 👍🏾
What is your opinion about bunk beds my wife is thinking of getting our boy's bunk beds she wants to get rid of their toddler beds
Usually bunk beds aren’t recommended until age 6! You mentioned toddler beds so I figured I would throw that out there.
They're a great space saver. I've never had problems with my boys in a bunk bed and they were almost 6 and almost 3 when we bought it for them. Almost 4 years later they still have it.
Thank you I will tell my wife that Do you have mattress pad or covers on their beds to protect their mattress what would you recommend for bed wetting
@@joehebert8070 you can order water proof mattress covers off amazon for whatever size bed. And I’ve seen water proof pads at target for beds in the kid bedding section!
What kind of covers do you have on your kid's heads can you make a video of them sometime so I could show my wife
