I think this just reminds me too much of back when life was simple, and I lived with my grandma on a farm. Life is getting better, but this has been the hardest year of my life, and I really do hope that there's some clarity after this storm

I used to live in a cottage a long time ago when I was a kid. I used to ride my little BMX bike to the golf course opposite my house to get chocolates, then I'd go to my friends at the time who was this girl and this boy. The boy lived in an old school that had been turned into a lovely house just a good walk down the tree lined road, the pavement opposite had gravel on it (or maybe it was the driveway.) He was super nice and I hope I get to see him again some day, we used to play in his garden as children because he had all the best play equipment in the cottage, then there was my friend who was a girl and she lived in a cul-de-sac just opposite the boys house. She was quite mean but I think she never meant to be spiteful, she was just a little different to us is all. I miss those summer days. Love from England!

Another thing about that house was that it had no heating or electicity, we had a generator in the really big garden outside which had a big magnolia tree, a shed I wasn't allowed to go inside of and a path made of stone slabs and such, there was lots of grass around and a big wooden fence that surrounded the whole thing. It was layered too so it went up hill :) (just thought I'd say hehe)
Oh, another thing, one christmas (as it is christmas today 25/12/2020) we were waking up one christmas morning there and because of our location its weirdly cold or warm, like it's not the England I know and love, like a totally different climate! Because one morning we woke up to an entirely white christmas, never happened again though. Although I remember fondly, I did play in the snow outside the house with my friends I think? Or maybe it was my siblings at the time, having snowball fights in the grass and along the golf course just opposite, in fact, if I remember correctly we actually took a sled (or bit of wood) and went sledding down a hill on the course! I loved christmases back then.

When you finish, you take your coffee into your room and look out your window. Everything is so colorful and you feel a calm and soft feeling. No stress, not too many people. Just the way you like it. You take yourself onto a walk, looking at and enjoying the lake, the trees, and you hear a soft whistle in the background. You take a quiet look around, and once you make sure no one is there, you step into the lake barefoot. You are grateful for such a beautiful life. Not the busy nights of a city, but quiet and silenced night. The forest is your backyard, no limits until you come across to the town where shoemakers are selling their shoes and bakers are making bread. You hurry home, laughing, and hopeful. You run to your room and change into a more traditional outfit. Your father is loading the carriage, you and your father are talking all the way to the town. You look off the carriage and see your little book store, where you spend most your time reading about the horses and wonderful creatures in the woods. After a long morning, the sun sets. As you close the shop, your father hands you a $50. Your eyes sparkle and glow brighter than the sun. This has never happened to you, as you don’t spend much and enjoy the simpler things. You don’t know what to buy, but your eyes track a child who is buying candy and sweets. As it’s what you crave, you buy a little bit of each. There was a man near the shop, playing the guitar and looking so unfocused, just in a different world. You put some coins into his cup and skip and hop to your father. You speak to him, asking him how you would be able to get a job to get a guitar of your own. He says that your grandparents need some help at their barn and would like you to go there. You hurry home and pack some berries, bread, and water. Your mother and father kiss you goodbye and you get on your way. As dark rises, you fall asleep while the horses keep on going. When you wake up, you are in a bunk bed and hear cows.

This is a gorgeous playlist! Also, if anyone’s wondering about the song at 5:29, the sample for it is the theme from my favourite movie, ‘the secret garden’’ (from 1993)! As soon as I heard that song I got so excited, I’d really recommend this movie, it’s one of my favourites and it means a lot to me! :) it’s based on a book too and I’d really recommend that book aswell! I want to take a moment to say thank you for creating this playlist. I am a RUclipsr and a student. Many of you most likely know being just one is stressful, and probably more know being both simultaneously makes the feeling worse. However, when I'm listening to this mix right here, it does one thing better than any other mix does for me: Aids me in peace even when I'm hurt. It lifts me up, up and away from my mind for a while, and returns me there with it a better place than when I woke with it in the morning. A would like to add a quote here to explain: "Ah, music, a magic beyond all we do here!" this quote originates from book one of the Harry Potter series, said by Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts. Now, here's the thing: I find this mix more magic than any other I've listened to before. So thank you, thank you for the peace, but mostly: Thank you for giving me a bit of magic.

I grew up living with my grandma, in her small house on top of a mountain in the middle of the forrest. Behind that small house was our backyard and a large tree and a tree house made by my grandpa. Age 6 I met my first ever friend Stella, she's 2 years older than me but we became so close. we would play at our tree house everyday, and she would spend her whole day in my house. We're living our cute cottagecore life...
She also have her abusive parents and at school she would get bullied because she's a lesbian. I didn't even know what a lesbian was back then, but she opened my eyes to it and I accepted her. Day by day after her coming out to me, I actually fell for her. I was in love with her. Too bad I had to leave and go live in a city and I leaved her suffering. I came back a year later and... She's dead, she committed suicide, in our tree house... I couldn't believe it, I didn't got to say what I truly feel, that I love her...

the second song I heard in A Secret Garden movie. such great cottagecore vibes. the way I grew up contributed so much to how I love cottagecore aesthetic today. my mom has beautiful gardens and we went for walks to the library together. my family has a cottage up in Canada and there is a grainy picture of my father and I admiring a rose together..it is my favorite picture of us. my mother and grandmother always encouraged me to read, and I few up reading lots of classics. my favorite is Heidi. this playlist is so precious and speaks to my soul. thank you dear
