  • In this video I show how to fit a aquabion filter that helps your system stay clean of scale! This unit is water conditioner rather than a complete softener that uses salt
If you don’t have space for a water softener then this is the next best thing! Keeps all the minerals in the water and can be fitted on drinking outlets! No salt costs and lasts 7 years with zero maintenance.
The unit has to be fitted according to the mi that’s given in the box. Equal straight pipework either side and bonding across using the supplied bonding clips and wire.
All information on how the unit works and its benefits please visit the link below.

Matthew, excellent video - like your content - keep it up! The earth clamps probably came with a 'do not remove' tag that is definitely worth fitting to be compliant. I've fitted a similar device -the Ion Scalebuster (supplied in the UK by Rodin - good customer service, cheapre than aquabion, I'm not affiliated!). Because these type of devices do not 'soften' water (remove limescale) , but purport to work by causing the limescale molecules to precipitate out of the water as larger molecules and not cause 'scale', they are very hard to show scientific 'before and after' since you can't show a change in the 'total dissolved solids' with a cheap meter - it makes it a hard sell i think v water softeners that are evil and just pump NaCl every bloody where!! Instead these work in three ways: hydrodynamic action (i.e. turbulence chambers), dielectric action (PTFE coating) and Anodic action (zinc sacrificial anodes). I believe they work personally , and there is some evidence in large industrial scale settings. (I did the reverse to you - fitted a 22mm 3/4 inch device on 15 mm piping to ensure I didn't restrict the flow pressure)
