    What should we understand from a topology on a set? Does it have any more information for a set besides the mathematical structure for a set? Does it have a physical significance or it is an abstract concept only?

    • @tripBohemia
      @tripBohemia  4 года назад +3

      It has great significance in life. But not directly.
      As 24 carat gold can't be used directly so are these abstract concepts, they can be used in practical life by mixing some Cadmium or copper like things only.

    Mam, closed set mey limit points hote hai, aur limit points se matlab yeh hai ki uske jitne bhi neighbourhoods hai unmey se some elements other than concerned point maujood hone chahiye. Phir {1,2,3,4,5} set kaise closed set ho gaya, haalaaki uska complement open set hai? Please e doubt clear kar dijiye.

    • @tripBohemia
      @tripBohemia  Год назад

      Set of limit points of {1,2,3,4,5 } is an empty set.
      A set is closed if it contains all its limit points i.e. A set is closed if the set of all limit points of the set is a subset of the set.
      Here the set of limit points of {1,2, 3, 4, 5 } is null set which is a subset of every set. Thus {1, 2, 3, 4, 5 } is closed.

    Ma'am Set A={1,2,3,4} agar isko limit point waali definition se dekhein to ye to closed Nahi ayega because it does not contain all its limit points infact it doesn't have any limit points. Please clarify this doubt

    • @tripBohemia
      @tripBohemia  5 лет назад +6

      A = {1,2,3,4 }
      Then A'= { } = ∅ = Nullset (ie. The derive set is empty)
      Clearly A'⊂ A (ie. The derive set of A is contained in the set A)
      Hence A is closed.

    • @sharndeepkaur5628
      @sharndeepkaur5628 4 года назад +1

      No,open intervals are not closed sets,as explained above that for a closed set derived set S' must be a subset of S,but in case of open sets for example(2,4).no doubt it's all points are limit points ,but its derived set is[2,3] and you know [2,3] is not a subset of (2,3).
      I hope it will clear your doubt .I just think it will may be answer of your question........😊
