Awesome! I had not heard of Little Black yet (moved to socal a year ago). I’ll have to check it out sometime soon! Also, I only paraglide, but frequently see paramotors over the beach by my place in Newport. I think they take off down towards laguna. No idea on the legality of it, but look into it if you’re looking to fly closer to San Diego on the coast.
Nice to see you back in the air on you paraglider Lou.... And as much as I think Little Black is cool, I would love to see you fly a bigger better hill!!.... Keep these vids coming, you give inspiration to us younger pilots 🙂
Yes, I do need to get out to different sites more. LB is just so convenient and never that crowded. BUT I am planning on Andy Jackson and Soboba sometime this year. Incredibly, I have never flown either site. Jordan, who teaches at Andy Jackson, was one of my instructors at Torrey Pines and I enjoyed his style of teaching. In the meantime, thanks for watching!
Good stuff! I still hope to free fly one day, I think we are about to lose our favorite LZ. Naylor Airport La56. Bought buy the port authority, to build a road to I-49 .
Yes, that seems to be a not uncommon occurrence. Way back when, there about 3-4 smaller airfields here in my area. All gone now due to housing and shopping malls. Unfortunately, most people are either indifferent or find any flying machine a nuisance. Even the major airports are not liked much…unless someone needs to travel somewhere, of course. I thought forming a local club might persuade a smaller local airport to allow us to fly but no luck. Thanks for watching!
It was a really disappointing to see that sign. I thought things had calmed down and we could fly as long as we were extremely aware of not flying over or near any houses. Right now, I really have no place to go except way east to the desert or the Salton Sea, or way down to South and East county San Diego BUT the traffic is an awful mess most days. I'm happy to just PG and fly sailplanes for now but perhaps in the future if I can find a suitable and fairly close site. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos YOUNG GUY FLYING….I have been flying more that 15 years now. Your videos are awesome, your comments humbles and authentic 👍👍👍👍
Thanks so much and I really appreciate the comments. I'll strive to keep them fun and enjoyable.

Nice vid, Lou. My heart sank when I read that sign "No Paramotoring" - THAT SUCKS! How far do you have to drive to paramotor? You're a cool guy.

Full disclosure: I skipped the sailplane vid for the PG. I note the name change. I still love you. Jim
I understand...I will always continue with PG no matter what as long as my landing legs hold out! Thanks for hanging in there for the PG videos!
