I used to drive laung haul over the road. Been to every state but Alaska and Hawaii. Stayed in many different hotels and would bring my own bar soap, shampoo/conditioner. When the hotel had better soap than me I'd use or keep it 😊. I never thought of telling the maid to remove em. Boy howdy, I think this guy had one heck of a SOAP OPERA!!!! 😂😂😂 Thanks Granny for sharing!!!🤗

My best memories of "growing-up" LIFE are of when either of my paternal grandparents would tell stories. They often would get so caught up in telling their stories they would laugh and giggle and be so tickled, it caused the listeners to share in the spirit and soon all were laughing!! They laid out each memories' detail as if creating a priceless piece of art! I guess is some ways they were. I know my family and I treasure every memory as the priceless gifts they truly are..... It was in the paper. Remember those? Anyway, we all read it and howled. Mom cut it out and passed it around at work and so did my dad. So good to laugh like that again! Thank you for saving it and digging it out for us! Lol, just love you!

I was in high school, so it had to be the early seventies. And that would have been upstate New York, in apple and dairy cow country. : )
This reminds me of so many hotel stays through the years…I was rarely impressed with the freebies, even in the 4 and 5-star hotels…we haven’t stayed in a hotel in many years since we started RVing, but I still have a huge stash of hotel soaps, and other miscellaneous toiletries from our hotel-staying days!!! I always took my own toiletries but gladly accepted and hoarded what the hotel handed out LOL!!!!
